Hi,

I am going to build a car based on the MIT racecar platform. I am constrained on budget, so I am trying to evaluate if I can cut down on the cost of the base platform. Hoping to get some help here.

Are there reasons why this repo recommends the Traxxas model? I was looking for cheaper alternative RC cars which also have:

• Brushless DC motor
• 1/10 scale
• ESC
• 4WD

Is 4WD drive required? What could go wrong If I choose a 2WD? Also, if I use a brushed DC motor instead of a brushless DC motor, will control via VESC be an issue?

Are there other things one should keep in mind before purchasing the car?

This device is very hard to find now. Any other VESC can replace this?

Hi there, I was just wondering what drawing package you used to make the designs. It looks like SolidWorks but I can't be sure, mind telling which one you used?

As I said in Issue topic. I cannot open this files any auto CAD. I was try to open this files by LibreCAD - result nothing was happens.
Someone had this problem?

Hi, I'm planning to build a self-driving RC car with ARRMA FIRETEAM. I'm not sure whether it's Spektrum ESC and servo are programmable and is VESC capable of doing this? Can you advise on how to do the control part using new hardware?

I'm planning to build my own RACECAR, and one source that turned out to be very handy is jetsonhacks.com, and in the following video:

Jim says that he uses cuts from version 2.5 of the MIT-RACECAR.

I was wondering if you're planning to share this version too, or (perhaps) the differences between 2.0 and 2.5 are sufficiently small so that it shouldn't make much difference.

I would really appreciate an answer (even a short one).
