NullPointerException Error in com.nary.util.Localization.convertCharSetToCharEncoding about openbluedragon

Was there ever a resolution to this problem?  I am getting the same error with
ubuntu.  I created the directories and bluedragon.log, chmod them, etc..  Where
exactly is bluedragon.log suppose to be?

I was getting the same error.  Using Java 1.5 fixed it.  This was all I had to 
do in
ubuntu 8.1:
/etc/init.d/tomcat6 stop
export JAVA_HOME="/usr/lib/jvm/java-1.5.0-gcj-4.3-1.5.0.0"
/etc/init.d/tomcat6 start

How did you go about using java 1.5? apt-get?

I get the same error but not sure how to do this.
