I attached a change I made to XmlParse.java. I may have not made the fix in
the correct place, however it does work.
Basically I simply check whether the passed in parameter (string) is a file
path, if so I read the contents and let the original logic continue.
// Added these to execute
if (FileUtils.exists(str))
{
str = readAllText(str);
}

Thank you for highlighting this issue. I have not used your patch, as it was
reading the full XML file into memory and treating it as a string. This may
have negative impact on the performance of the server.
This feature had a bug in it, that i have resolved. The inputstream was being
closed prematurely when the encoding of the file was attempting to be resolved.
This will be in the nightly release from 9th Feb 2015 onwards.

I agree, my patch isn't suitable.
A source stream from a file is a better approach.
