Add Confirm Prompt to Delete Buttons

At present if you click the delete buttons it doesnt give a prompt to confirm that you want to delete the items. This will end with players accidently hitting the delete button on their powers, advantages, equipment, etc.

Adding a simple prompt in will prevent accidental deletions.

Feature Request: Area of Effect Attack type.

Area of Effect needs to be its own attack type so that it prompts a Dodge Roll from the target, they press the button, and it then makes a Toughness check (or the appropriate defense check) versus the full effect value if they fail the defense check and half of the effect value if they made it.

Request: ATTACK TYPES

ATTACK TYPES: Possible future development. Have Attack Types to choose from of Close Combat, Ranged, AOE, and Perception.

Close Combat will have a Reach feature that defaults at 1 but can be modified for weapons/characters with a longer reach due to Elongation or the Reach extra. If a target is out of range, it will do a range check and let the player know they cannot attack if out of reach. This also makes sure the attack roll checks vs. Parry
Ranged will check the range of the power based on rank though can be modified due to extras and then will calculate any change to the attack check. This also makes sure the attack roll checks vs. Dodge
AOE, will allow the user to assign a Template and then the appropriate Defense can be selected to avoid max damage and then prompt players with a roll if they are targets or automatically roll for NPCs. This also makes sure the attack roll checks vs. Dodge. This also makes sure the Toughness roll is changed so that instead of Hit or Miss its Full Damage or Half Damage.
Perception Range Perception means no attack roll needed, but it is automatic.

HQ's and Vehicles Powers & Attacks

For now, it's impossible for HQs and Vehicles to make attacks on other characters. But many vehicles in the system do have attacks and other powers, and HQs could have attacks/powers also.

My suggestions:

  1. Both sheets should have a "Powers" tab for the inclusion of these powers.
  2. Both sheets should have an attack section, just like the character sheet.

Request: Separate Power name from Effect

On the character sheet, it has the power name and then the effect but this often gets clipped off to the side.

Would it be possible to have the listed Power Effect below the name so that if the name is obscure, we can instantly tell what type of effect it is based on.

So, instead of this,
Power 1 copy

we would get
Untitled-1

and collapsed, instead of this:
Power 1 collapsed

We would get this:
Power 2 collapsed

Request: EFFECT TYPES

EFFECT TYPES: Possible Future Development. For attacks, have Effect Types be selectable according to Damage, Affliction, or Other.
If Damage is the Effect Type, then a failed Toughness Roll delivers the appropriate amount of damage to the target according to the number of Successes
Affliction will have a selectable Resistance for the user to choose from (Parry, Dodge, Fortitude, Toughness, Will, etc) and then empty boxes for Fail by 1 degree, two degrees, and three degrees. If The Condition is a recognized one by name, then the system will assign the appropriate Condition to the target depending on how poorly they failed by.
Other is going to have a selectable resistance like Affliction but no info for conditions as this would be for special attacks like Teleport other and the like.

Suggestion: Drag & Drop Condition Items

Mentioned over in the automated conditions thread, but a simple drag & drop item with a description box that unfolds, & can easily be added/removed would help a ton.

Attack and Damage messaging showing incorrectly

Foundry Maths

In the chat box, attacks show as "The Attack Hits" and "Critical" even when the attack was a miss or not a critical. Seems to be introducted with Foundry Build 308, and was not previously present.

Foundry Version: V11, Build 308
M&M Version: 1.26.4

Titles on the Character Sheet

If it is not too much trouble I think a minor change to the character sheet would help new players navigate it. On the character sheet in the stats and skills section, Would you please add a small title "Attributes" on the Attributes window; "Defenses" on the Defenses window; a slightly larger title "Attacks" on the attacks window; "Maneuvers" for the Maneuvers window; "Speed" for the wonderful new Speed list; and "Skills" on the Skill List ?

BUG: Power effect "FEATURE" seems to halt import

In the Greenronin channel, Metroxide posted a character that stopped importing after it imported the powers. Through process of elimination, i found that when the power effect "Feature" was eliminated, then it imported just fine.

1.26 Showing as Invalid File

The newest Release doesnt seem to register as a valid zip file. The file size is also significantly lower then normal, so unsure if it didnt upload correctly?

Issue: Devices are showing as arrays

I LOVE the new way arrays are formatted now on the sheet but Devices are showing as arrays.

It would be wonderful if those items would stay the same (All power effects in a device) would stay in that format but it should be labelled as Devices instead, if possible.

Suggestion : créer une fiche et gestion des combat de masse

Dans le manuel du maître de jeu page 234, le système propose une gestion du combat de masse. Je trouve le système intéressant mais il rajoute une notion de moral et ajoute des petits règles particulières.
Est-ce qu'il y aurait possibilité de pouvoir créer des fiches particulières pour les groupes d'individus et de rajouter le calcul des différentes données pendant les combats ?

Request: Close All Button

Noticed once you get alot of advantages, powers, etc, it can be really tedious to have to go through & close them all one by one. Could we have a button that allows you to close all open items on a sheet?

Reorganize Conditions

Hey, could you reorganize the conditions in the token menu to be alphabetical? It is just a lot easier to find in the middle of a session when I know I just need to go after the alphabet.

Request: Change in layout for Extras and Flaws under Powers

The Character sheet is confusing when it comes to marking whether or not an Extra or Flaw is per Rank or Flat. I cannot tell from looking at the buttons cause both look on the me at the second

May I suggest you just have one button that changes the word on it so that if the Extra or Flaw is Flat or Per Rank, it will be the item that shows on the button.

Character Sheets Wont Open

Noticed that for some reason, sometimes character sheets become unopenable.

I've seen 2 players this happen to. One last session & the other in todays session, but thankfully we had some backups to restore their old sheet.

Not sure what it causing this as I wasnt able to duplicate it, but it happened live to one of my players & now his sheet wont open when clicked from the actors directory.

Option to Change Fonts to Default Foundry

I must admit, the font that is being used for the default chat & character sheets is a bit difficult for myself to read at times(its too widely spaced & my eyes dont adjust to it easily), it would be nice if we had an option in the settings to change the whole system to the default foundry font.

Automated Conditions?

Are there any plans to automate conditions so that they apply automatically for the purposes of attack macros and the like? Like if you are targeting a prone target it gives you the +5 bonus on close attacks and the -5 to ranged attacks for instance?

I understand if that ends up being too wonky because powers and advantages could potentially negate the conditions and it would be hard to check that.

Cant drag & drop onto sheets on Foundry 10.303

The recent update of 1.25.0 seems to have broken the ability to drag & drop powers, advantages & equipment onto sheets. This effectively breaks the system as you would have to manually copy & paste every single entry manually each time a new character or NPC is made.

Characters without Ability or Defense Values

The character sheet doesn't seem to support characters that lack a stat like Stamina (for example contructs). Some character builds will have null values for certain stats.

After importing a charcter from HeroLab that has no Stamina or Fortitude, the value populate as "-5" rather than "-" (or some indicator of a null value). This then flows through and applies a -5 penalty to Toughness that shouldn't be there.

I assume this would also be true of intangible characters (like ghosts) that may have a null Strength value.

Counting Successes

When the system automatically compares the appropriate attack with the correct defense, subtracts the defense, it would be helpful to have it divide by 5 to find the appropriate number of successes. It would be helpful to be in the attack as well so that someone with Multi-attack can clearly determine their damage bonus.

If prompted by a GM with a Skill check where the GM sets the DC, it could count successes there too as the number of successes has a bearing on how well the character did or how badly they failed in the system.

Issue: Multiple Targets only yield one roll.

When targeting multiple targets either manually or with a template, only one roll is made I believe for the first target selected when all targeted characters should be subject to their own roll.

Glitch: Main Effects Text Box

Noticed that alternate effects that appear on an area, dont show the new "main effects" text box in the powers section currently. You can see in the image Incubus Arts: Hunger has its Attack - Weaken that shows up, but all the alternate effects dont show their respective "Main Effect" text box.

Feature Request: Ability to choose measurement system (Metric to Imperial)

Hello there! Thanks firstly for all the work you have done, I just wanted to bring up something me and my players found a tad bit annoying. In the M&M 3rd Edition Handbook, and in Hero Labs, all measurements (including the measurement table) are in the Imperial system. Superiority of either system aside, it's a pain when my players and I have the chart in an entirely different measurement system, but the in-game Speeds are all Metric. It would be amazing for all of us to have a standardized system, so I humbly ask, may you please add an option to swap to the Imperial system for the Speed and such?

Changing the order of the tabs

I believe the first tab should be "Stats & Skills" as this is the most common tab to be used. It would be very good especially for the GM, because when you open an NPC character sheet you probably want to see primarily the information on this tab.

I believe the tab order should probably be these (based on my experience/frequency of using each tab):

  1. Stats & Skills
  2. Powers, Advantages & Equipments
  3. Information
  4. Import

Disabled Condition missing in Token HUD

Thank you very much for making the Combined Conditions activate the Basic Conditions they do. I noted that you do not have the Disabled Condition Listed in the Token HUD. You do have Debilitated but not Disabled.

Quality of Life Suggestions for Powers

Just a few suggestions I have for the powers to make them a bit easier to use for myself & my players.

  1. At present, when you attach a power to a main power, even if you click the post to chat button for the attached power, it only posts the main power. Making it so it posts the selected power with maybe a note saying "Main Power: XXX" Above it to chat would make it easier to share from peoples sheets.
  2. The roll dice feature when it posts to chat doesnt have anyway to modify the roll. Could we get some sort of option on the powers to do that like how the skills & attacks work?
  3. Power Types(Standard, attack, etc) appear when you open the power, but dont on the sheet itself. Could we have some sort of note added or separate the powers by type?

Style Change: Request change in "Fold all/Unfold all"

The fold all/unfold all buttons are above the box with the powers and such in them rather than in the same box. Could you put them in the box they will be changing and relabel them "Show All/Hide All", please? :)

I feel this would read better for people trying to figure out the buttons that they actually modify the same box they are in.

BUG: Hero Labs import error with Power Profiles active

When importing a Hero Labs profile, a sheet (shared in the Green Ronin channel in the foundry discord) was not able to be correctly imported, as abilities, skills, and defenses were all missing, and powers and advantages had their points at the wrong values.

Thanks to @DeviousHearts we discovered that having the Power Profiles option active in the hero configuration was what caused the issue. We were then able to successfully import after toggling that option off.

Feature Request: Clear All Condition Button in the Token Action HUD

I would like a Clear All Condition Button in the Token Action HUD.

I feel this would help GM's and players who need to quickly clear all the conditions off a character without having to go to each individually. Especially helpful since Combined Conditions add so many other conditions.

Request: Separate Tab For Power Arrays

It would be really nice if the powers section had a divider of some sort for power arrays. Currently the way things work is nice, but it would just make it easier for players & GMs to understand what powers are stand alone powers, & which ones are arrays.

Something like just a line break with a title at the top for the array's name so it stands out a bit more would be great.

Example
Array Title: Telekinetic Powers
Main Power: Move Object
Alternate Effect: Flight(Levitation)
Alternate Effect: Affliction(Mind Control)

Options to reorganize Advantages Etc

Is it possible to get an option to sort advantages & various other entries on the character sheet? Either by manually moving them or by alphabetical? Right now they just default to the order you add them onto the sheet.
