Audio output selection panel looks out of place (see screenshots) [GNOME40]

Info

• OS: Arch Linux
• Kernel: Linux 5.13.12-arch1-1
• Gnome shell version: 40.4 stock
• Using: fluent-gtk-theme-git package from AUR built with custom args.
• Args used: -t all -i arch -c light -c dark --tweaks solid -d "$pkgdir/usr/share/themes"
• Extras: Using fluent-cursor-theme-git and fluent-icon-theme-git in conjunction with the theme.

Possible issue

The sound output selector panel appeares after the system detects a device being connected to the 3.5mm jack but the appearance of the panel seems to be out of place with respect to the overall solid theme. When the background is textual or has a lot of black and white elements, the visibility of the panel seems to be an issue without the contrast to make it out.

Expected Behaviour

The flag --tweaks solid should have ensured the installation of only the solid/non-translucent theme variant.

Not tried yet:

Manually installing the latest release and trying to reproduce the issue. (I'm willing to do that if it's needed to resolve the issue)

Readability of file names in nautilus' icon/grid view

This has been tested with the latest master

The selection bg has low transparency making the text hard to read as it goes over another icon

Wallpapers install script problem

Hi.
The install script must be run with root rights.
However, the backgrounds pictures folder is then created with root rights as well.
Therefore in gnome-control-center, the pictures are not available.
With root privileges I had to change the folders (fluent, fluent-building and fluent-mountain) properties to user rights to get the wallpapers available.
Maybe at the end of the script, you should add some code to change these folders properties.

Titlebar shows plus on maximize instead of square

This may be an intended feature, but I've noticed that on GNOME, the maximize button on the window titlebar is a plus instead of a square as it is on other desktop environments. I prefer the square. Is there any way I can change the plus to be a square? I have attached a screenshot below so you can see the difference.

Selected app isn't highlighted in Budgie app launcher

When you use the arrow keys to select an app in the Budgie app launcher while using this theme, the selected app is not highlighted:

Chinese Input Candidate Box - Content Misaligned

Thank you for the beautiful themes! Have been using your Tela and Qogir themes for over 2 years now. This Fluent theme is another solid one and I am enjoying it so far!

I just want to report a slight glitch I noticed:

In the candidate box of the default Chinese IME, the candidates are not aligned at the center but to the top. Could you take a look at it? Thank you very much!

Pop OS cosmic support

Would it be possible to add support for Pop OS cosmic?

xfwm4 titlebar and menubar color and thunar pathbar

gtk app (thunar) and qt app (smplayer with fluent kvantum theme) have different menubar and titlebar color, and please make pathbar thunar greyish like one in nautilus.

OS : manjaro 21.0.1 w/ kernel 4.19
DE : xfce 4.16

install.sh doesn't produce xfwm4 in theme folder

i check downloaded files in pling and i don't see xfwm4 folder in it, then i tried installing by git clone and do ./install.sh but the result same

Blur-Me extension

Blur-Me extension it's broken, it uses a lot of cpu. Blur-my-shell instead works well but is not managed by the theme

not display icon

When I set the theme to compact mode, the icon above is not displayed. Where is the problem?

Red Hat Enterprise Linux (and derivatives) issue with the distribution icon on GNOME Shell

All those Enterprise Linux distributions come with an icon on the Activities corner (top-left), and it's persistent across all themes.

My proposition is to have an option called "blank" that puts no icon on the top-left corner, as these distributions come with their ones.

You could notice the "simple" layout.

Some input fields cuts off text

Some input fields gets their text cut off, especially if running the 'compact' theme variant.

Broken radio button

Hi thanks for the wonderful theme, but I am having these unusual radio button in thunar and Firefox.
This issue is only in dark variant of theme

Few bugs in dark mode on fedora Gnome 40

Great theme as always! Keep it up..

Gnome Power Statistics

1. Can't see the graph axes in the dark mode. They appear correctly on light theme.
2. AC and Battery both show a "Battery Icon" (possibly due to WhiteSur Icon Theme? ). Would be nice if the AC Adapter had its own icon.

gedit & builder

1. Highlight and text are both white in color. Maybe change the highlight to gray with transparency?
2. Grid behind text is white and fully opaque. Can't see text. Maybe need to add transparency.
   Workaround is to use different color palettes, but those don't automatically switch when theme changes.

Can we have a bit of padding at the bottom to get rounded corners?

Gnome Panel (Shell Theme?)

1. Highlights on hover inconsistent: some have round corners others less and some none
2. when using the "floating panel", the rounded corners seem too big if panel is set to 26 or 28 px.
3. Top and bottom paddings seem a little too much, especially on laptop.

Folders produced by install.sh do not contain Cinnamon styles

No border on some buttons

Using the 'noborder' flag causes some buttons to have no border.
I feel like they should still have a border, as some buttons are impossible to see without a border.

Update: some buttons have no border.

Example from file-roller:

In the command line options "-t all" is a valid option.

However the error return is

ERROR: Unrecognized theme variant 'all'.
Try './install.sh --help' for more information.

Persistent Hover Effect on Menu

suggestion for focused list items' decoration

According to this pic from Microsoft. the round radius of the small blue rounded corner rectangle in the left of the focused item seems to be bigger than this theme does currently.

in the pic, the rounded corner on the top and bottom sides of that rectangle looks like semi-circles.

on my device, the same rectangle's corner looks sharper.

icons in dock is so big of gnome 40.

In gnome 40 overview, icons in dock is very big. I think if decreasing icons' size will be better.

Unify the shadow depth of different apps' windows

the both screenshots were captured when their windows were focused and with same white background.
and obviously, the first one has a lighter shadow border. their titlebar colours are a little bit different as well.
Could you plz fix this issue?

Title of notification still black even in dark mode

• i started a gnome-terminal in normal size(less than my screen size), and clicked the "window max-size" button in title bar, these were all normal.
• then i click the "window max-size" button, the gnome-terminal window left "max-size" state, but it did not recovery the previous size, the size of it's window went bigger than my screen.

Would love to see a snap version so I could theme my snaps also with this cool theme!

Two improvements for Cinnamon

Two improvements for Cinnamon:

1- The panel needs to better highlight the programs that are open. In the image the open programs are File Manager, Text Edit and Firefox.

2- When I turn off the computer, the Turn Off (Desligar) button does not appear immediately in Red color. This button turns red only if you click on one of the other buttons or during the screenshot.

My system: Linux Mint 20.2 Cinnamon (64 bit)

Menus look weird for some apps in cinamon

I have this issue with some apps menus on Cinamon 5.0.5 Linux Mint 20.2

Notification event time is out of design

Theme is awesome and I use it as default in Ubuntu 21.10 (GNOME 40), but notification's event time is out of design:

I guess it should be smaller (~0.75em), slightly higher and not such bright.
And (probably) right adjusted. ;)

Fluent-GTK-theme Breaks Qt Apps Running in GTK Environments

This issue is also shared with ChromeOS-theme.

When setting Fluent-GTK as the GTK theme, Qt apps have broken elements, such as weird checkboxes or missing button borders.

Additionally, when set as the GTK theme for Plasma, everything that relies on the GTK theme sites the same behaviour.

Blur effect

Is it possible to add some blur effect to the transparent part (like dock, top-bar ...)?
That will make the theme more suitable with the icon theme.

Workspace thumbnails not showing in Fluent shell theme (Gnome 40)

Workspace thumbnails seem to be missing when using the Fluent shell theme in Gnome 40.

Floating panel tweak enabled but no floating panel with Dash to Panel extension

I tried your fluent-gtk-theme. I've got round corners for the panel with the Dash-to-panel extension, but I haven't got floating panel. I guess the problem come from the Dash-to-panel extension who doesn't support floating panel, isn't it ?

Input method indicator seems a bit odd when using the kimpanel extension

First, thanks for creating this modern, elegant theme. Currently I'm using fcitx with the kimpanel extension on Fedora 34. When switching between input methods, I notice the indicator looks a bit odd.

While under the default shell theme, the indicator looks like this.

Possible to have a Teal/Matcha colored Variant?

I noticed that in the _color_pallete there is some values for a Teal variant, would it be at all possible to have a variant of Fluent in this color/color similar to Matcha?

I realize that doing these themes is time consuming and not simple (Ive tried doing it previously myself) but that is the only thing for me missing from this theme for at least me. You're one of the most active theme devs and your stuff is consistently up to date along with this theme being a nice in between of materia & adwaita when rounded corners are enabled which is perfect.

If not no worries and feel free to close this issue as its not exactly an "issue"

wallpaper crashed in gnome 40

I set up the wallpaper in the src/wallpaper folder properly, but the wallpaper became black at 18:00.
other dynamic wallpapers don't have this problem.

Solid top bar

Hello! I really love this theme (and all the themes you do)! My personal preference is to have a solid (non-transparent) top bar on GNOME Shell. Do you think you can add a variation for that?

I don't know if this is fixable by the theme, but I thought I would mention it.

In the latest Google Chrome, the top right corner does not stay in bounds when I hover over it.

Budgie Issues

Hi, I am having the same issue with Fluent-GTK-theme that I have posted about in the ChromeOS-theme issue tracker.

Namely, the transparent bar that appears next to the Raven sidebar.

Inconsistent GTK and KDE title bars

All your other themes that I have used are consistent between Gtk and KDE but this one is not

Could you fix this? I personally prefer the KDE titlebar style

Activities button with text only (Gnome Shell default)

Hello, vinceliuice.

I was wondering if you could consider adding a tweak for us to choose how to display the activities button. I know it's a matter of taste, but I'd rather keep the text "Activities" instead of an icon. Would that be possible to be implemented in the install.sh script?

By the way, all of your themes are really amazing, but Fluent is the best theme I've ever used. Thank you very much for sharing this with us.
