z2d's Issues

Issue #21 REOPENED

You never even addressed the original complaints of the problems I was having with THIS image.

missing file

i'm trying to install centos7 on pine64 (following kurtstam instruction), but i have an error on
centos-00.sh -> ubuntu-core-00.sh
on last line

curl -sSL https://github.com/umiddelb/u-571/blob/master/board/pine64+/uboot.env.xz?raw=true | unxz | sudo dd of=./rootfs/bootenv/uboot.env
the file seems no more available, i'm missing something?

Pine64 instructions have bad URL

For the Pine64 install procedure instructions, step 6 gives a URL to download from, but that no longer seems to exist. Has it changed to something else?

I also tried following the instructions to create an SD card to boot from, but it seems to hang during boot. Maybe the step 6 I had to skip was necessary to make it work?

Thanks!

The centos arm64 rootfs url seems not valid now.

The http://mirror.centos.org/altarch/7.4.1708/isos/aarch64/CentOS-7-aarch64-rootfs-7.4.1708.tar.xz seems not exist. Do you keep a copy of it? Or can we create the centos arm64 rootfs with scripts like debian debootstrap?

Error with debian-00.sh

Here are the steps I have done on my C2 device with HypriotOS
Note : I'm using a microSD to USB Adapter on my board.

sudo wipefs --all --force /dev/sdb

Monitor not working?

Hi Uli,

The latest centos (7.4) seems to work ok but I have no signal going to my HDMI display. Is it just me or is this just the way it is. Any ideas how to go about fixing it?

Cheers,

DHCP to static ip address doesn't work

Moved the issue from other thread to this separate ticket.

I changed also the DHCP Ip address at \etc\network\interfaces.d\eth0 by the following:

auto eth0
#iface eth0 inet dhcp
iface eth0 inet static
address	192.168.1.14
netmask	255.255.255.0
gateway	192.168.1.1

and rebooted and it seems not to work anymore. Can't access the node via SSH.

Should i run this scipt on ARM device? But i'm peparing one, how can i do it?

centos for pine 64 - kernel modules

hi i'm using pine64 with centos.
i've seen that in centos for pine64, also in the latest kernel, are missing a lot of modules compared to kernel for c2 or xu4. i'm missing some module in kernel/net/ like sched.
There is a specific reason why they are not included?
there is a simple way to compile them, or would it be better to use c2 instead of pine for my tests?
thank you for your work

Odroid-C2 does not boot.

Hi,

I create sd-cards using your scripts with minimal adjustments (dev=sda in alpine-00.sh). With some fiddeling I managed to get the scripts to work with no errors an the sd-cards gets written, ./uboot-env runs with no errors. Problem is that the generated sd-card does not boot. My odroid-c2 does not start the blue led at all. no hdmi-out, nothing.

thanx, thies
