Currently, the build process is only tested on Intel arch. Can it work if we run it on M1 macs?

It would be good to update the virtual machine image on a regular basis rather than just when we update the repository.

Github actions has the ability to set the trigger to a cron job. This would allow us to stage release based on main on a cadence with no action on our part. Would be a good way to keep the images fresh.

Both are throwing errors during the tool install script

Several of the items listed in the git's README under applications are no longer a part of the ./install-tools.sh
I will update this post with the deprecated programs and scripts in the list once I am able.

when i try to install it on vmware it booting but fater grub it is stucking and showing some codes when i checked it showing the kernel issue where it was crashed

Would like to include some general investigative guidance and pivot points here that also links to other relevant tools and resources either in the VM or on the we somewhere

Caused by:
package clap v4.5.4 cannot be built because it requires rustc 1.74 or newer, while the currently active rustc version is 1.70.0
Either upgrade to rustc 1.74 or newer, or use
cargo update -p [email protected] --precise ver
where ver is the latest version of clap supporting rustc 1.70.0

Likely keepassxc? A way to keep track of sock puppets

files and scripts we are migrating over during overlay step are not showing as executable in the VM. Will probably need to script out a chmod at some other point in the build process?

Is there a better way to organize them? Different folder structure? What resources are missing? What are deprecated? Can we create docs in Obsidian that tie back to what resources to use when?

Thinkin like the OSINT framework but specific to the VM.

People get the VM but then what? Working with custom menus is rough. Maybe just creat an html page with links?

At some point the script that included chromium install during the build got removed. Likely by me. Need to add back in to the build process so it's included by default

TL specific templates in Obsidian that could help organize an investigation or make intel organization more efficient

Moving our collection of OSINT bookmarks to obsidian would be our first step in to contextualizing those resources. Could also give us a place to more easily organize and explain them.
