Some Rahi do not have complete or 100% functional AI

This list includes the following:
Hoi Turtle
Nui Rama 2
Unknown Snake

The following Rahi have some form of AI, but otherwise lack some or all collision, damage processing, or animations:
Fikou
Hoto Bug
Nui Rama
Tarakava
All Bat forms
Wolf Rat

What are the Bionicle.ini options?

The default Bionicle.ini has a bunch of options, and some don't seem to do anything. What do they all do?

Pohatu level crashes

Warping to BLGF, BLR1, BLR2, BLR3, BLR4, and BLR5 all cause a crash IF you loaded Pohatu's level first. If you warp to these areas after loading another level, the game doesn't flip out. Warping to BLCR works and should be done first in order to access the BL areas, since you need to be riding the Kane-Ra apparently. Warping to BLCR and the to the next area, BLR1 is treated as though you proceeded to BLR1 on foot and places you onto the Kane-Ra.

Quitting crashes/shutdowns

Alpha

Quitting from the following areas will cause the game to crash:
BUGS, SCRP, SPCV, HK01, and MUD0.

Beta

Quitting from these areas cause a shutdown: HK01, SHRN

Svprad file

I loaded up the game and the level i played was black so i looked on the website and it said to replaced the svprad=0 file and replace it with svprad=1 and i did that but it didn't work what do i do

Warps between ISLD and SHRN are misplaced

The tunnel in the ravine next to the mountain near the ISLD default spawn is able to be fully swam through without being warped anywhere; going backwards from SHRN's default spawn places you far below the mountain in ISLD. It's possible that the tunnel to SHRN previously went far lower, but the warps weren't updated when the tunnel was shortened.

Kane-Ra area crash

In Pohatu's level, the area BLR6 cannot be warped to or accessed normally without a crash. You can't reach the end of BLR5 with Pohatu due to a serious glitch with the Kane-Ra (will be outlined in another issue), nor can you warp to it if you loaded Pohatu's level first.

Solved: by renaming or deleting (or replacing) this file: Data/Levels/Lev3/Blr6/blr6_SOUNDS.slb

Debug menu crashes/shutdowns

Changing characters to any of the Toa except for Onua and Gali causes the game to shutdown. This still occurs even if you start a level as, for example, Lewa and switch to Onua then try changing back to Lewa.

Update: still a problem in the beta.

Also trying to use Warp to Area in the Front End causes a shut down. It's kind of obvious why, but it's still worth noting.

Text and HUD do not render.

With the exception of the dev menu, text, HUD, and other menu elements do not render at all.

Tested on a Gateway 720E:
OS: Windows XP Home v. 2002, SP3 w/ DirectX 9
CPU: Intel Pentium 4, 3.2GHz
GPU: Nvidia GeForce 8400 GS

Ga-Koro Shrine shutdown

Warping to the shrine in Gali's level while playing as Gali causes the game to exit (shutdown). Warping with another character either causes a crash or results in the Po-Koro shrine being used without textures.

Solved. The shrine files are buried in a folder named Shrn, ironicaly within the Data/Levels/Lev2/Shrn folder.

Level 7 crashes

trying to load rooms GALI or PHTU, or clearing TAHU or MAN1, all crash on a full loading bar.

trying to load PST1 crashes at a near-full loading bar.

Nui-Jaga cavern shutdown

In Onua's level, inside the cavern containing the Nui-Jaga sub-boss (listed as SCRP in the warp list), there is a diggable cave entrance that will be directly ahead of the player (right wall). Attempting to dig this wall will result in the game immediately exiting without a crash message.

Unknown areas crashing in Onua's level

In Onua's level, warping to TBR1, TBR2, or TBR3 causes the game to crash. I'm wondering if these are related to the PZZL cavern at all? Loading bar reaches maximum before the crash as well; these areas have not corrupted my saves yet.

Update: the files don't exist in the Level folder, which explains why they crash.

Re-entering the area of the Takara stage in Ga-Koro will result in a softlock

if you get too close to the ampitheatre in ga-koro after learning Gali's Dance, it'll warp you back into the cutscene room (MOSH). upon leaving it, it'll place you inside the ampitheatre in VLLG, surrounded by the load trigger for the MOSH room, effectively trapping you if you don't have access to the debug menu.

Certain bosses cannot be damaged or defeated

Only the Vatuka Nui and the Rock Elemental can actually be beaten. The Wind Elemental seems to have damage functionality and animations present, but otherwise one of the other bosses can even be damaged as far as can be told.

Po-Koro crash in cave to the right of the second Koli field in Po-Koro

On the right of the second koli field in Po-Koro is the exit to the next area. This cave crashes upon loading but gives you a partial visual of... something. Localized the name of this area to BLDR in the warp to area list.
This is one the areas that corrupts save data as well.

Solved: rename or delete (or replace) this file: Data/Levels/Lev3/Bldr/bldr_SOUNDS.slb

Puzzle cave crash

In Onua's level, entering the cave to the left of Kapura will cause the game to load the area then crash. This is defined as PZZL in the debug menu's Warp to Area sub-menu. The area where Kapura can be found is ATRM.
NOTE: This is one of the areas that puts a saved game into a crash loop.

Update: area is missing a Bcls folder and the Main.ocl file usually contained by those folders.

Gali loaded game crash

Quitting from the second area of Gali's level and reloading the saved game causes the player to disappear and experience a death loop, followed by a crash.

Gali's BSOD: Blue Screen Of Drowning

Whenever I attempt to play Gali's level, touching water is essentially a death sentence. The splashing sound effect plays and then the entire screen (except the HUD) turns a single shade of blue. I can't tell if any controls are working underwater, obviously because I can't see anything. Shortly afterward, the drowning countdown begins if I am not using an active Kaukau, and then Gali drowns and respawns. If she respawns on land, the screen is fixed but will turn blue again as soon as I go back in water.

Toa change crash

Switching to Onua or Gali (if not Gali already) in Gali's level causes the player to spawn outside of the map and fall to death. In almost every area I tested, this caused a crash. Warping to VLGS and changing toa causes the player to spawn outside the map and enter a death loop. Did not crash here though.

Pohatu jump glitch

Pohatu performs a "skip" after scaling a ledge or jumping.

NOTE: I tried using Onua and Gali to see if this glitch was level related, but it only occurred when using Pohatu.

Kane-Ra bugs

In BLR3 and 5, the Kane-Ra in Pohatu's level suffers two different bugs. In BLR3, the bull's legs cease movement. In BLR5, the bull becomes extremely fast but cannot jump.

In BLR2 and 5, falling off will not kill you.
Sometimes this occurs in BLR1 but not often.

Invisible particles when viewed against the ground

When I play any level in the game, the UDD tokens, health pickups, and energy pickups do not appear, likely due to some "alpha texture transparency" issue that causes them to turn invisible when viewed against the solid opaque ground textures. They may appear if I look at them from another angle in such a way that the ground does not obscure them, but because the camera is almost always looking down at the ground, they do not render most of the time.

Additionally, before it was patched, it was recommended to find the three dancing Onu-Matoran by looking for their shadows. These shadows would not render in my game either. It may be another symptom of this same issue.

Quit crash

Hitting quit on the main menu causes a crash.

Terrain does not render when camera is above water.

The terrain on any given map (i.e. Data/Levels/[level]/[map]/Xs/main.x) does not render when the camera is above water, on the following specs:
Gateway 702E
OS: Windows XP Home v. 2002, SP3 w/ DirectX 9
CPU: Intel Pentium 4, 3.2GHz
GPU: Nvidia GeForce 8400 GS

Unhandled exception: c0000005 error

When i start the game, after patching it, running it with winxp compatibility, and as admin, everything goes white, then a screen pops with this message:

Unhandled exception: c0000005
At address: 004f0ed7

i tried the game in a win8 and a win10 computer.

Levels are All-Black

Except for some particle effects, the level comes up all black. Is there a workaround?
