I agree that we should definitely have a logo!
I quite like this proposal -- the boxes suggest a sequence or pipeline of operations, which seems appropriate.
I'd like to get a few different ideas before making a firm decision, as branding is pretty important these days

One idea I had a while ago was to have something like a stylised version of the "closed integral" symbol from maths:
It looks a bit like a lowercase "f" and (from dim and distant memory) is actually sometimes used when doing flux calculations in physics, so it would have a nice double meaning.
I'm not a graphic designer by any stretch of the imagination though so I don't know how to turn that into a real design!

Yes, but it... looks even more like an S, because it's literally an S (specifically this one), so probably shouldn't go for a logo that is readable as SLUX.
