Use of -rdynamic linker flag?
On Linux and macOS, this https://github.com/robotology/diagnostic-daemon/blob/master/CMakeLists.txt#L71 passes explicitly the -rdynamic option to the linker. What is the rationale for this? If this is not needed, probably we could remove it to avoid problems such as robotology/robotology-superbuild#649 (comment) .
Create configuration component
Create a configuration component for accepting configuration variations.
Cleanup PUBLIC and PRIVATE link dependencies
At the moment, the libraries installed by diagnostic-daemon link all their dependency without any specifier (see
PRIVATE . However, libraries that are used in the public headers of the library (such as Boost, see
) should be linked as PUBLIC dependencies, as they also need to be linked by downstream binaries that link to the library.Add an option to use an already installed pugixml instead of using the vendored version
This is not urgent, but it is a prerequisite for robotology/robotology-superbuild#430 .
COMPILE_WITHYARP not present
In the README the option COMPILE_WITHYARP is mentioned, but it is not actually present in the CMake.
Save xml configuration
