Typically, contours are not projected in the correct 3D position.
The following is the output in 3D of the realsense for an abduction movement performed in front of it (camera position indicated by the three axes).
The hand is projected further than it should be, causing the 2D joint of the hand of the skeleton to be projected at a wrong depth. The problem occurs as a single point is used.
A possible solution would be making queries on a set of points rather than only one point to then discriminate on the z-coordinate based on the distance that is robustly provided by the waist
from assistive-rehab.
