There are no official release notes of TwinCAT products or change logs. This repository is a community effort which tries to track changes in Beckhoff's TwinCAT software.

There is another unoffcial changelog from Bosch.

Contributing

If you noticed that a bug was fixed in a certain version or a certain feature was added, please:

• use the edit pencil present on each page at https://cookncode.com/TwinCatChangelog/,
• or add it via a pull request.
• and a link to the source if it is available. If there is no source, mention where you got the information from in the pull request.

In case you have a larger change in mind, please first open an issue such that it can be discussed first. For example, if you want to add a new page, or restructure how the project is organized.

twincatchangelog's Issues

HMI 1.12.760.44

I had an issue with hmi version 1.12.760.37 that in the EcDiagnostics the EtherCat master state stayed on "Offline". And I couldn't resolve it. After an update to 1.12.760.44 it worked again correctly.

There must be a reason why Beckhoff released a small update on 1.12.760,x and maybe this is it. But it also could just be because my package got reinstalled.

When someone could confirm the same, we can add it to the changelog.

GitHub Pages twincatchangelog.github.io is offline (404)

The page at https://twincatchangelog.github.io/ mentioned in the main readme is currently offline.

Edit: After looking into this, it appears that the readme should just refer to https://cookncode.com/TwinCatChangelog/ and remove the reference to the GitHub pages site.

Also twincat 2 changelog available?

We work still with twincat 2 and we see new builds sometimes popping up. Has anyone a change log of these builds?

Drag and drop bug fixed in 4024.17?

From the Beckhoff RSS feed:

Users reported to Beckhoff unexpected behavior in TwinCAT 3.1 XAE Engineering 4024.15, describing loss of source code while using drag’n’drop to reorganize PLC structure. Beckhoff will reactivate the download after validating and improving the drag’n’drop function. As a workaround, without using drag’n’drop in the solution tree of PLC no loss of source code will appear.

Is this still there in 4024.17?

Which HMI version exactly fixed the HMI writing into function blocks bug

I'm not 100% sure if it was fixed in this version, or one between 1.10.1171.165 and 1.10.1336.203.

I'm sorry if I've missed it and it was made clear inside the documentation somewhere, but is this repositry intended to also track known TC3 issues? I notice you have the "Issues" section at the top of the changes page.

I have a few issues and bugs I've experianced if so.
