Bibtex compatible latex templates for a selection of Bioinformatics and Genomics journals

BiBTeX compatible Bioinformatics & Genomics LaTeX templates

This repository contains a set of directories with latex templates for a selection of Bioinformatics and Genomics journals. Where necessary modifications have been made to the sample latex documents provided by the publisher to allow use of an external bibtex library. Bibtext style files for these modified documents were obtained via Tom Schneider's LaTeX Style and BiBTeX Bibliography Formats for Biologists Page

Notes and Provenance

Notes on the applicability and provenance of files for each journal are as follows:

PLOS

• These files work for PLOS Biology, PLOS ONE, PLOS Genetics, PLOS Comp Biol
• PLOS instructions for authors using latex
• PLOS latex template file
• PLOS bibtex style file

BioMedCentral

• These files work for Genome Biology and journals in the BMC Series
• BMC instructions for authors using latex
• BMC latex template and bibtex style files

Nucleic Acids Research

• NAR instructions for authors using latex
• Original NAR latex template and style files Note: this template is not structured to use an external bibtex file.
• Modified NAR latex template and style files made by Gabriel Moreno-Hagelsieb. This modified template is structured to use an external bibtex file and Schneider's NAR bibtex style file

Bioinformatics

• Bioinformatics instructions for authors using latex
• Original Bioinformatics latex template and style files Note: this template is not structured to use an external bibtex file.
• A modified template was made by Casey Bergman based on Gabriel Moreno-Hagelsieb's design and is structured to use an external bibtex file and Schneider's Bioinformatics bibtex style file
