python-pedia's Introduction

Note: Hello Pythonistas, https://pythonpedia.com domain has a new owner and points to a new site. The domain is transferred. Check it out!

The content from this repo is available at https://pythonpedia.com/en/awesome/gh-35491164-01/python-one-stop-community and content will be synced periodically.

If you like the site with the heart logo ❤️, new URL is https://parbhat.github.io/Python-Pedia/

Only thing changed is URL of the site. There was nothing much happening with the site. It seems better to give the domain name to others to create some good stuff.

Python Pedia is one stop solution for Python Programming Resources. The Resources are categorized according to the application of language. It's all about Python.

Contributing

The Python Programming language has many applications with a large number of resources. The current content is not complete. Your contributions are welcome to make it a single place for everything about python. To contribute to this project follow the below steps -

  2. The application pages are being generated from the markdown files present in folder

applications/app-markdowns

  1. Change the markdown(.md) files present in above folder and commit your changes to your fork.
  2. You do not have to change the HTML files of applications. They will be automatically generated by the markdown files.

python-pedia's Issues

Replace contribute block on Homepage with Community section.

Contribution link is provided in the header and footer. So, it would be better to replace the last block Contribute with Community section. This section will contain the following:

  • Links to different Pycons organised worldwide.
  • links to local Python meetup groups.
  • Links to specific conferences like Djangocon, PyData etc.

Any other links to Python Community at one place.

Shadow on hover covers the text

Hey,

I have spotted some minor issues which I found important as UI/UX point of view. Shadow on hover is covering some text from content, reducing it little bit would solve it. and rotating gear doesn't go with flow of rest of the page, Static gear will also solve issue of rotating shadow.
