mediator_lua's Issues

1.1.1 broken on non-LuaJIT Lua

#7 is important, because

tonumber(tostring(obj):match('0x(%x+)'), 16)

flat out errors. Unlike LuaJIT, where addresses are formatted with 0x like this:

> ={}
table: 0x00231ce8

ordinary Lua doesn't print 0x:

> ={}
table: 0064DEE0

table index is nil

When executing this code:

local Mediator = require("mediator")()

Mediator:subscribe("hello", function(data) print(data) end)

I have this issue:

usr/local/share/lua/5.1/mediator.lua:72: table index is nil
stack traceback:
    /usr/local/share/lua/5.1/mediator.lua:72: in function 'addChannel'
    /usr/local/share/lua/5.1/mediator.lua:81: in function 'getChannel'
    /usr/local/share/lua/5.1/mediator.lua:135: in function 'getChannel'
    /usr/local/share/lua/5.1/mediator.lua:142: in function 'subscribe'
    test.lua:3: in main chunk
    [C]: ?

With version 1.1.2-0 installed from LuaRocks.

getUniqueId(obj) fails on windows lua 5.1

it expects tostring() to return an addr in the form 0x12345678
tostring(obj):match('0x(%x+)'), 16)
on windows lua 5.1, tostring() does not return the address with a 0x prefix.

License missing.

Would it be possible to add a LICENSING file with a copy of the MIT license, rather than simply a link to the license on the OSI page? This would make my Company's legal department a little bit more comfortable with storing a copy locally.

upload a src.rock spec to luarocks

Hi,

I've been trying to automate the handling of lua packages in the linuxdistribution nixos.org.
As it's a huge task, I've focused for now on the neovim lua packages subset, and the src.rock format (
the endgoal is to be able to eventually deal with rockspec), thus it would be very cool if you could push a src.rock on luarocks (I got all the packages working but this one).

mediator.lua:103: <name> expected near 'continue'

Hi
I have had this error message when i called my unit testes with "busted" which used mediator as a dependency. It happens on lua 5.3 and doesn't happen on lua 5.1. My workaround was to rename local variable "continue" to "cont". Actually, i don't know why lua complains about it. I have not found anything about "continue" statement in lua 5.3 reference manual so i tend to think that lua hasn't yet been supporting "continue" statement in 5.3. I am a complete newby in lua so i don't make pull request. I hope my information will be useful.
Thanks.
