This is most unusual indeed.
PHP Monitor itself isn't actually presenting this notification, it's macOS doing this automatically. You will see this alert if the php-fpm
service is being started AS root, but this usually happens only once for the first time you launch the service as root (or when switching between PHP versions).
Seeing this multiple times is a bit surprising, I've never seen that happen before. This could be a Homebrew issue...
Before I can help you further, I need some more information:
- What version of PHP Monitor are you running? The latest stable version is currently 5.8, though via early access version 6.0 is also available.
- What version of macOS (which version specifically)? The latest version is currently Ventura 13.3.
- Can you provide me with a log file? (More about this below.)
You can help me figure out even more information by sending me your verbose log for your latest session of PHP Monitor. This logging is disabled by default. You can start extra verbose logging by running: touch ~/.config/phpmon/verbose
and restarting PHP Monitor.
You can find the latest log in: ~/.config/phpmon/last_session.log
. Please attach it to this bug report, and I'll get back to you ASAP.

Apologies, I misattributed this bug to phpmon. It's actually a background service problem with Ventura that's popped up since November last year.
If anyone runs into this running sfltool resetbtm
in terminal will get rid of the notifications. In the thread they mention rebooting, but that will reset the state of sfltool which will cause the notifications to come back.

Aha, TIL! Thanks for letting me know this was a false alarm.
If anyone else ever encounters this, the above is the solution ⬆️
