PDF?

Is there a PDF version of the book, or the Bookmark source code to compile a PDF version of the book?

Chapter 4 - Stata 17 Code

  • STATA CODE (p. 65 of textbook)
For: *2 Get the conditional mean college attendance
    table wc, c(mean earn)

I get the following msg:
. table wc, c(mean earn)
option contents() not allowed since Stata 17; see help table for updated syntax

Apologies, I'm relatively new to Stata, and I do not see in the Stata help file how to obtain the conditional mean using updated syntax.

Thanks!

Python code?

Hi Nick, absolutely loving the book so far. Coming from a Data Science role I've really struggled to find something that doesn't assume an economics background and that uses terminology that I'm familiar with, so thanks!

I'm not familiar with R, so I was wondering if you're planning to include the python code in this or another repository? If not, I see that the book is also available online so I can copy the python examples from the website if necessary.

Thanks.
