phc2trees's Issues

Can not place blocks against maple/paperbark logs.

  1. Install Minecraft, Forge, Pam's Harvestcraft's four separate mods, and whatever else your heart desires.
  2. Create a new Creative world.
  3. Plant a maple sapling, a paperbark sapling, and bonemeal both in to growing in to a full tree.
  4. Attempt to place any block against these logs with right-click or shift-right-click.
  5. Observe your inability to place blocks.
  6. Cry.

It would be nice if blocks could be placed against immature logs normally and/or with shift-right-click against immature or mature logs.

Pam's HarvestCraft 2 Fruit Trees (pamhc2trees) encountered an error during the common_setup event phase

Hi everyone,
i got the following error during a server restart.

https://pastebin.com/FaWXkGyc

It works after a second restart.
I also saw that this issue was already mentionned in the comments on the curse forge page of the mod.

Now the real problem is that my server is hosted on omgserv, and the server restart each night (i don't want to disable this), thus the server has a probability to crash every night, which is annoying.

The version i am using is : pamhc2trees-1.15.2-1.0.2

Upon installing PneumaticCraft: Repressurized, started crashing on load

client logs:
latest.log
(debug log is unavailable because I'm running this via twitch and apparently that hijacks FML's logging system)
server logs:
n/a

Description:
Harvestcraft Trees threw an exception after I added PneumaticCraft: Repressurized alongside HC and the rest of my pack.
Due to a number of factors, I want to be able to give more of a description, but honestly have no idea what's going on here. There wasn't as much information as I'm used to in the traceback so... if you'd like any further information about my installation, or just want me to go away, let me know ๐Ÿ˜›

(That's only a partial log, but you can assume that every tree in that list has another entry like the one at the top and likely be right?)

I've been told that this can silently break other world generation from other mods? Or so I understand? And that a fix for plants was provided here: MatrexsVigil/phc2crops#18 and could probably just be copied over for the trees and work?

Or so I've been lead to believe? I really don't know much about this stuff, but I figured I'd give y'all a heads up.

Config Change-feature request 1.15.2

Hello this is not a bug report but a request to change something in config for both
phc2trees and phc2crops in 1.15.2

i was trying to add the dim mod yamda to pams whitelist when i found out i could not due to yamda using resource ids and pams does not support this check link for more info edit to be clear it crashed as soon as yamda_dim the resource id was added to whitelist.

Sunekaer/YAMDA#34 (comment)

Not a coder my self but it looks like for this to works pams need to change over to supporting resource ids. or what i was thinking and what i believe other mods do that are working in that dim without any changes from me like XLFood mod and Ray's Dongles both that add crops and are spawning is just to not have a whitelist only have a blacklist and spawn in any dim not on blacklist i think that would fix this issue as well.

Minecraft 1.15.2
Forge 31.1.47
pamhc2crops-1.15.2-1.0.3
pamhc2trees-1.15.2-1.0.3
YAMDA-5.0.3

Some fruit tree types do not spawn, config is ignored

Only the following fruit tree types spawn in the world:
Almond, apricot, coconut, pinenut, orange, lemon, gooseberry, avocado, apple, banana, fig, date, candlenut, cherry, dragonfruit, chestnut, nutmeg, durian, cashew. When disabled in the config, they still generate. Other fruit trees do not generate in the world, whether or not they are enabled in the config.
This was tested on clean install, with just phc2trees and Forge. Version pamhc2trees-1.15.2-1.0.5.jar
Forge version 31.2.30

Crashing upon entering a certain area

Java Version: 1.16.4
Forge: 35.1.13
PHC2Trees Version: pamhc2trees-1.16.3-1.0.0

It crashes the server upon entering a certain area. I removed the said mod (Trees) and it still crashed, showing the same error on logs but this time, it's with the Pam Crops so removed it too as well as the food extended and food core. After removing said mods, it's not crashing anymore.

Here's part of the log:

When fruits grow from randomTick, they don't trigger the BlockEvent.CropGrowEvent

In : https://github.com/MatrexsVigil/phc2trees/blob/1.18.2/src/main/java/com/pam/pamhc2trees/blocks/BlockPamFruit.java
Line 53, Method randomTick, when the FruitBlock grows it doesn't call CropGrowEvent.
All vannila crops call this event and other mods which add functionality to some crops rely on this event.
Currently it produces a problem with Serene Seasons mod.
When you add a DataPack for any fruit block, regardless of the season the fruit will continue to grow as Serene Seasons also depends on this event.
How to fix this? Just call the event in the method randomTick, take a look at how this is handled in Minecraft CropBlock class

    public void randomTick(BlockState pState, ServerLevel pLevel, BlockPos pPos, Random pRandom) {
        if (!pLevel.isAreaLoaded(pPos, 1)) return; // Forge: prevent loading unloaded chunks when checking neighbor's light
        if (pLevel.getRawBrightness(pPos, 0) >= 9) {
            int i = this.getAge(pState);
            if (i < this.getMaxAge()) {
                float f = getGrowthSpeed(this, pLevel, pPos);
                if (net.minecraftforge.common.ForgeHooks.onCropsGrowPre(pLevel, pPos, pState, pRandom.nextInt((int)(25.0F / f) + 1) == 0)) {
                    pLevel.setBlock(pPos, this.getStateForAge(i + 1), 2);
                    net.minecraftforge.common.ForgeHooks.onCropsGrowPost(pLevel, pPos, pState);
                }
            }
        }
    }

[1.15.2] Fruit Trees too common and ignoring config

Fruit trees seem to spawn literally everywhere they have room, and seem to be ignoring the config to decrease spawn rate by increasing numbers. It appears that everytime it is checking if it can place a tree, and the game returns yes, it does, even though the spawnrate in the config should result in a "no". This results in fruit trees dominating the landscape.

loot tables may be wrong

current loot tables that were built allow harvesting unripe fruit by breaking the block.
Normally crop loot tables use a blockstate check to check if the block is mature. it may be a good idea to implement that into the loot tables.

I would normally just fix it because its an easy fix...but there are a lot of loot tables

[Bug] Fruit of trees not decaying when tree has been chopped.

Description

Currently playing 'Stacia 2: Expert'.
After chopping a Vanilla Bean tree down, i found the fruits remaing after the leaves had decayed.

When the fruits naturally would grow they seemed to detect their incorrect block placement state, and vanished.
The fruits could still be bonemealed in this error state.

image

Haven't tested with any other trees, but perhabs it is a general issue with the fruits.
I'd expect the fruit needs a support block in the form of the leaves, similar to a lantern hanging from a roof.

Version

pamhc2trees-1.19.2-1.0.1.jar

1.20.1 - No way to configure tree spawn rate

The config appears to give no option to configure the spawn rate - also it spawns a config in the config folder and the server config and I don't know which is the right one

[1.19.2] Maple Syrup Item named incorrectly

Maple Syrup is named "item.pamhc2trees.maplesyrupitem" and has been for a few YEARS now. Since at least 1.16.5.
In the lang file, the line has incorrect syntax, reading
"item.pamhc2trees.mapleitem": "Maple Syrup",
When it should read
"item.pamhc2trees.maplesyrupitem": "Maple Syrup",
It's a simple fix anyone can do in 2 minutes, I can't believe it's still here.

1.20.1 Version bug with apple trees

So whenever i place down apple trees and let them grow or bone meal them for some reason it grows acorns instead of apples can somone fix this?? version 1.20.1 btw

[1.16.4-35.1.4] Config ignored

pamhc2trees-1.16.3-1.0.0
forge 35.1.4
minecraft 1.16.4

in config...
#Should spiderweb trees generate in world
"Generate spiderweb trees" = false

but I still find them in the world...

Also seems to be ignoring the chances of spawning since I have doubled the default and still find them in large numbers.

Saplings growing cause stack overflow

each of Pam's saplings have a method overridden called "grow"
Minecraft calls "grow", which then calls itself until the stack runs out of memory.

The intended function is for the sapling to call pam's custom method (also, confusingly, called grow)

It looks like she fixed it in the fruits by changing the name of the custom "grow" method to "growFruit" and changing growFruit to have the same argument order as the overridden grow method.

Avocado Trees generates apple fruits on the trees

pamhc2trees:pamavocado (which mc name seems wrong with "Apple Fruit"), gets generated from growing avocado saplings and produces apples instead of avocado. Because of this I don't think there is a current way to obtain avocados using phc2trees.

Possible worldgen issue with 1.16.5 forge 36.0.x

Blame mod is telling me a bunch of trees (if not all) are not being registered for worldgen after updating to 1.16.5 - forge 36.0.1 - I know mod is not officially supporting 1.16.5 yet - just thought I'd bring to your attention

 This ConfiguredFeature was found to be not registered. Look at the JSON info and try to
 find which mod it belongs to. Then go tell that mod owner to register their ConfiguredFeature
 as otherwise, it will break other mods or datapacks that registered their stuff.

PmHC2Bug

Crash on dedicated server and in single player forge 1.15.2

I was playing with a couple friends on a forge 1.15.2 server and we were exploring different areas and suddenly the server crashed, we were able to find out it was the location one of us were in, i tried to fly around in single player to see if it happens there and it does. This is from the single player crash and is basically identical to the other, same biome and everything but i dont understand much other than that. https://pastebin.com/gKqaCF1E

Maple/Paper tree logs do not mature naturally.

  1. Install Minecraft, Forge, Pam's Harvestcraft's four separate mods, and whatever else your heart desires.
  2. Create a new Creative world.
  3. Plant a maple sapling, a paperbark sapling, and bonemeal both in to growing in to a full tree.
  4. Optionally, /gamerule randomTickSpeed 40.
  5. Wait twenty five minutes.

The logs never mature.

They should mature over time, so that when right-clicked they produce what they're supposed to produce.
