Pretty sure this is also impossible, but the mod might be able to store some state about chests it has seen before in memory?

For example, you almost never want to look in hoppers.

I'm not sure the actual best way to do this is though.

Currently, it opens all inventories in clickable range, regardless of if you can open them.

The mod should have a client-side check to ensure this is legal access.

Normal inventories (chests, boxes, dispensers, barrels, etc) only appear on top.

Inventories which have no meaningful differences (anvils, crafting tables, stonecutters, looms, cartographers tables, ender chests... maybe more?) should have dedicated tabs at the bottom of the screen, and if multiple exist, then only 1 is offered. Right clicking an anvil always uses the anvil you clicked, otherwise it should never matter.

First character over the chest icon, and the whole name when hovering over it.

This may not be feasible to implement on the client, I'm unsure.
