No, you have to rebuild the colorscheme. But I may add them as an option.

That would be great. I really like gruvbox, but it has many issues and i'ts not maintained.

Please check the current master. Put:

let g:gruvbox_filetype_hi_groups = 1
let g:gruvbox_plugins_hi_groups = 1

in your vimrc to enable filetype and plugin highlighting.
