Thank you for the script, very helpful.
However, I noticed that there are quite significant problems with the boundary conditions:
If you create a structure made of just two layers, both with refractive index=1 (i.e. air), instead of seeing a perfect transmission you see a sort of an etalon pattern.
The patter also changes with the thickness of the layers.
