I have tested some softwares to easily and quickly create the transcriptions and subtitles, for now I tried:

• TranscriberAG: Used only for Audio Transcription and Annotation:
  • + have a spectrum visualizer/controler.
  • + speed control.
  • + loop section….
  • - but it's laggy sometimes.
  • - We can't set the end time of each sections.
• AHD Subtitle Maker Pro: Used only for Subtitle Making:
  • + Have a Timebar that show all sections of subtitles and easy navigation.
  • + Easy to use, and support a wvery wide range of subtitles format (including cutom format).
  • + Have an History manager, great to return some step backward.
  • - Can be laggy too, mainly when creating new subtitles, or editing them.
• Subtitle Edit: Adapted to easily create and transcript subtitles from a video or audio file:
  • + Have a Spectrum/Waveform controler, but it need VLC installed, this controler can show the subtitles like AHD Subtitle Maker Pro.
  • + Support 4 different play speeds.
  • + a little laggy, but mainly when opening video or the main configuration.
  • + Really easy to use and fast, support some subtitles format, and include 3 Media players engines.
  • - The speed can be set to Slow, Normal, Fast, Very fast, it's an issue if we need less speed…, and it work only with Direct Show.
  • - can't loop a section, need to set the end time from the control bar position.

The Best that I've tried is Subtitle Edit, he is available for most of the operating systems, and is shared on a GNU license, same with sources.
it have more or less the same features as TranscriberAG and AHD Subtitle Maker Pro, I will try to send features suggestion to the developers.

there is a big issues with hyperlinks that redirect to a page of the repo'.
Sometimes the text is write only with minuscules, the thing is that github is case sensitive and then can't find the pages, result is an Error 404.

It will be repaired shortly, please navigate directly from the folder structure instead of using hyperlinks, if you want to access a file.md

I released the chapters 0a_Library Overview to 8_The Brush Tool on my MediaFire account.

I will add the links of each chapters in the Video List Table found in the CHANGES_TODO.md file at this moment, using a download button that'll redirect to the containing folder.

The directory structure is defined like this:

• ROOT Folder of the Transcription & Translation Project:
  • ROOT Folder containing all Medias and Subtitles:
    • Chapters Folders containing the Video files:
      • Sub-Folder that contain the subtitles (only if subtitles are released).
  • ROOT Folder of the TeamL2D's Website-Helper for Translation.
    • Sub-Folders or Files containing the contents of each pages?

We use Github then normally we don't need another Sub-Folder in the Chapters Folders for the other contents of lessons, like the Homework or the Lesson in a text format, but need to see how the things go.

I've created the first content on the WIKI, it explain using a step by step process and some screenshots, how to work with audio transcription and subtitles at the same time.
