tabpreloader's Issues

Feature Request: add control to not load certain tabs

Hi and thanks for this nice addon!

But it would be great if I had the possibility to control what tabs are not reloaded. For example:

  1. pinned tabs that are discarded
  2. domains which are added to a blacklist
  3. tabs which have been discarded manually should stay discarded (if the user sets this in the addon-settings)

What do you think? ๐Ÿ˜„

Downloading xpi for previous versions?

Hi there, I'm not too familiar with Github, but I can only seem to download the .zip or .tar.gz for the 0.7.3 version, and not the .xpi. Which link on the releases page do I need to use?

Thank you for your help!

Automatically loaded tabs are sometimes non-adjacent

This might be impossible to fix, but worth noting at https://addons.mozilla.org/addon/tabpreloader/ and https://github.com/jmozmoz/tabPreLoader#readme โ€ฆ

Visual adjacency sometimes differs from logical adjacency (whatever logic is used to determine left and right (or above and below, where vertical tabs are used)).

This might be more noticeable where a user's management of tabs includes extensions that alter the visuals. I think first of extensions that can:

Also noticeable where order is changed manually? (Control-Shift-Page up, for example.) I'm not sure.

I might provide screenshots, or a screen recording, later.

Migrate to WebExtensions

Are there plans to migrate the add-on to WebExtensions API, so it can continue working in Firefox 57 and later?

Align options vertically

In the WebExtension version, you should make the options stacked vertically rather than horizontally. It would look a little nicer IMO.

Session history is not correctly restored on Android

Note that I'm not actively using this add-on, but I was looking through AMO in how far there were add-ons for Fennec using session store-related functionality and I noticed two complaints about tabs failing to properly load.

Assuming those complaints were referring to running this add-on on Android, your code is only reloading the current URL in the session history, but fails to restore all other session store data for that tab - compare the code flow of the session store itself when restoring zombie tabs.
