shortcut_vur's Issues

Plz add Default color picker in Preferences window!

Please add default color pickers in preferences/add-ons window for Text Color, Color Buttons, & Color Buttons Activated so they persist when opening ANY saved blender file (instead of going back to the default white/grey colors.

I had to manually edit file : init.py
at lines: 59, 67, & 75 with my preferred RGB values.
IE:
59 default=(1.0, 0.3, 0.0),
67 default=(0.178, 0.178, 0.178),
75 default=(0.01, 0.65, 1.0),

... so i would get orange, lite grey, & blue as my default colors
I then re-zipped the package and re-installed.

I LOVE YOUR ADD-ON THO !!!!! =)

Toolbar/sidebar covers the shortcuts

The overlay gets covered by the toolbar/sidebar.

It seems that the position is calculated from the whole editor and not taking into account the toolbar/sidebar regions.

Suggestion: Keep shortcut_VUr on/started by default

Currently, when loading a blender scene it requires to navigate to the plugin and click on start each time to activate the plugin. It would be excellent to have it running right away. Reason is that I tend to record tutorial video segments in small snippets that I piece together. I often reload my blender scenes in order to re-record my content if I wasn't happy with it. If it would run by default it would save effort and be a smoother recording workflow.

Add a option to customize the tab

Hi.

Could you please add an option in the preferences of your add-on to give the user the choice of the tab to display your add-on? (in order to move the add-on from its own tab to a custom one).

Some users might want to place your add-on in the Edit or in the Tool tab... (or elsewhere).

I invite you to read this related topic (if you want): https://blender.community/c/rightclickselect/dzdbbc/

According to the number of votes, there are many people who don't like having many tabs vertically in the N panel. The only workaround is to add an option in the addon preferences.

This option is very convenient for the user, especially when there are many add-ons that add their own tab on the N panel (it could become overcrowded vertically).

Maybe you could have a look at the source code of these (free) add-ons (to reuse the lines related to this feature)?

Pls Add a option to Show recent operations, thanks!

Axis lock (xyz) is not showing

When you select vertices and use keyboard shortcut for example rotate (R) and next is pressed axis lock (X,Y or Z) - that letters for axis lock are not displayed as pressed.

Please make the mouse button placeholders black with gray boundary

I have already filed request #3 to change the display to OSD (On-Screen Display) or HUD (=Heads Up Display).

But if that's not possible due to coding (or time) constraints, then can you please redesign the three rectangles that represent the mouse buttons?

image

The idea is to make it more evident when the button is pressed.

Currently the blocks are gray, which become white when the button is pressed. The difference is not much. So if the blocks are made black (with gray outline), the block color would change from black to white when a button is pressed; which is quickly noticeable.

Double pressed keys are not recognized

Hi Jayanam,
You closed this feature 4 days ago but it is only working in object mode. If you are in edit mode and you are marking an edge, pressing GG twice it is only displaying one G.

In object mode, if you are pressing twice GG fast, it shows you Gx3. If you press it not so fast, then it shows you Gx2.

Because the text has no shadows or borders

Hello, I encountered the following problems in the course of use:

  1. Because the text has no shadows or borders, when the model is more complex, you can't see the words clearly.
2。. When you press the left or right mouse button, you can only see a long string of letters with poor readability.
  2. I want to display only in the active 3D view.

The Shortcut VUr does not capture (display) the ESC key

If I press the ESC key, it does not appear in the VUr display.
Pressing the ESC key is part of some command sequence (e.g. E, ESC, S).
Therefore, the ESC key should be displayed like any other key.

Feature request: Improved "heads-up" display for mouse actions (clicks/mousewheel actions)

Thanks for providing shortcut_VUr, as Blender 2.8 does not have a built-in facility.

Unfortunately, it shows small visual clues away from the actual action.
We have to look at two different locations at once.

In your video titled Modeling Spin Tool and Boolean, the OSD indications are superb:

  1. The mouse gestures are attached to the mouse pointer, so easy to make out without having to look at the corner of the screen.
  2. The keystrokes are shown with large letters, and Shift is replaced with actual arrow symbol. Again, easy to understand with our peripheral vision (no need to look in corner of screen).

Can you please implement that scheme in the addon?
(alternatively, make it user-selectable option)

Thanks in advance!

Font Size Option

Hi,
thanks so much for this helpful Addon!
Could you add a font size option?
It can be hard to see when projected.
Thanks a lot!
Adam

Double pressed keys are not recognized

Hi Jayanam,
In the latest version the tool is not recording key which are pressed twice, like GG or AA. It is only displaying once the keypressed.
Any chance to correct this? Waiting for a range of milli seconds if the key was pressed twice or more times?

Placement

Hi Carsten here!

The placement of the shown keypresses (and mouse now, thanks!) should be editable, I think with the redo/tools window now on the left bottom corner they often get blocked.

Cheers,
Carsten

Docking in the middle of the viewport

Hi Jayanam,
It is a huge work to implement the possibility to dock the Screencastkey in the middle of the 3D Viewport. In the left the settings box is hiding the keys, in the right corner if you have some utilities which are taking the place the whole way to the bottom, the keys are also hidden. In the middle of the viewport it would be the better place. Or having the possibility to place wherever I want on the viewport.
