Issue with creating new address and reporting issues

Description:

The plus button in the addresses tab does nothing for me and when reporting an issue with my email I get an invalid token error message. A few minutes after clicking the plus button I get a notification saying an address was created but the tab is still empty.

Suggestion: Rebroadcast

Hi, another suggestion.

The "Rebroadcast Transaction" feature.

Whenever there is a new unconfirmed transaction (at each new milestone - untill up to 9 milestones) the tx will be rebroadcast (either automatically - ideal, or even mannually - similarly to the way replay works).

This might be useful, in order to increase confirmation (in this phase of the network). Maybe this function will not be as important in the future when the tangle is more efficient (or, for example, if the "repeater nodes" are successfully implemented).

Transactions not showing

Hi,

Today I have tried to send a 200Gi tx for the DEX bot (#trading at slack).

The Android wallet did the PoW, the tx shows (as unconfirmed) at the app's tangle explorer at the same device, it shows at the app's tangle explorer at another device, it shown on iota.cool, but it does not show neither on the wallet history and nor on the receiver's (yassin) wallet.

It is a strange issue. I am not sure if it is an issue with the app or with the network.

Unable to Send Reports

I always get a "Unable to send report: An expected error occured. Please contact the app developer" error when I use the "Settings > Misc > Report Issue" form.

The same error happens on the two different Android devices I am using to test the app.

Suggestion: The Adresses Tab

The addresses tab seems to be a little confusing, because it shows not only the addresses derived from the current seed on the user's wallet, but also shows address from other wallets (related to past transactions).

It could be a good solution if the Address tab shows only the last generated address from the current seed, or at least, if it only shows addresses devived from the current seed.

By showing addresses that do not belong to the user's own wallet, there is the possibility that the user may use this "wrong address" instead of on of his own addresses.

UX when connected to a node that blocks `attachToTangle` function could be improved

When connecting to a node that blocks the function attachToTangle (which most light nodes do), the wallet works as follows:

1. Logging in, seeing balance, history, addresses works fine
2. When sending transactions and attaching new addresses, the operation stays in the notification area forever and never completes

Number 2 is bad UX, it's hard for the user to understand what's going on. Suggestion: show a message on connection that this is a limited node so functionality will be limited; disable functions that require attachToTangle.

New Wallet Wont Accept Seed.

It was suggested by @wonkytonky that I ask here. I do hope you can help.

I have an android wallet, that carries my balance.

I have successfully downloaded the windows wallet. It requests the seed to transfer the balance.

However, it will not accept either the original string I entered nor the seed presented under >settings>>password>show seed in the Android app. The string it shows is similar in every way to the original accept all the words are upper case and all spaces have "9"s.

What to do? Please help.

Bitfinex transfer not received

I have sent 100 Mi from Bitfinex to IOTA Wallet a month ago. Bitfinex shows transaction as completed. Up until a few days ago the wallet was showing the transaction as pending, and now it is not showing it at all.

Seed with only uppercase letters gives warning about mixed case

1. Start wallet
2. Enter a seed with only uppercase letters, for example ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ
3. Login

Result: warning about mixed lowercase and uppercase characters. It is possible to use the seed.

4. Add the number 9 somewhere, for example ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ9

Result: no warning

Cause: the regex that checks for mixed casing, ^[A-Za-z]+$ also matches strings with only uppercase (but no numbers).

Replay

Hi,
The isse I'd like to report is: when you tap on a pending transaction, and do a replay, there is no indication that the replay is being done, so, for the user, it seem like replay is not working.

But when I check on iota.cool, there are many replays (attempts) of my transaction (as I have tapped replay many times, because of having no indication that the previous replays have been made).

App showing version 0.6.5 but bug report showing app version 0.6.1

Downloaded the latest IOTA wallet app. the version shows 0.6.5 on playstore.
IN app, it also shows version 0.6.5 in the about page.
But when I open changelog it only shows changes upto 0.6.1
when I report a bug it also shows up as version 0.6.1 (and that version of course is not compatible with current wallet structure)
Cannot operate my upgraded wallet on this version currently available on playstore

Automatic Light Server selection

The app should have a list of wallet servers to connect to and randomly choose one of them on every startup so the user don't have to write the address.

Trying to generate a new address gets Unauthorized

"Unauthorized, the command is not available on this node" is the message I get when trying to generate a new address.

The same nodes can generate addresses for the desktop wallet.

(Optionally) do PoW on the phone

I was looking at the source of the android wallet and it seems like it does sendTransfer for a new transfer, which requires a full node that exposes attachToTangle (these are not common). Can we revive https://github.com/iotaledger/iota.curl.java?

No funds when connected to new node

I connected to another nodes and i would like to make my funds appear

Error on QR code Sending

When I try to send "to a QR code", the code is read and the fields are correctly filled on the wallet, but when I tap send, the wallet closes, and does not send the tx.

I have tested it both with a QR created by the same IOTA app (on another Android device), and also with a QR created on an online QR creator (address only). The issue is the same.

Network error

Since yesterday evening I have been experiencing this error whenever I try to send a transaction (on two different devices).

See print screen attached.

When I start the wallet it updates normally, shown the correct balance, and history of transactions. But when I make a transaction the error occurs, as the image shows. The ""Sending transfer" message is shown on the top notifications bar of the device, and after a while the transactions history shows again. But even if I leave it for hours, the transaction is not sent (The ""Sending transfer" message remains until I restart the phone).

The values displayed in fiat or btc are wrong, seemingly out by a factor of 1000 (too small).

Messaging + enhancement suggestion

Hi,

I have tried the messaging option of the wallet, but I was not able to make it work, as it seems to be disabled/does not make the PoW/does not broadcast the Message TX.

Also, I have noticed that it requires trytes in the message field: My suggestion is that it accepts any character ( I take as an example the leaderboard at https://github.com/domschiener/leaderboard-example ).

The messaging feature will be very useful (e.g. a merchant could use it to submit payment requests, etc).

Suggestion: Incoming tx warning

Hey, there!

Thanks for this great app. I loved the new feature of warnings (in my device, vibration) when the PoW is finished, and from this feature I have a suggestion: It would be convenient if the wallet warns the user (vibrates/beeps) whenever there is a new transaction (or message) arrived.

Seed font makes 0 (zero) indistinguishable from O (Oh)

A small ux issues where seeds are ambiguously displaying zero and oh as nearly the same character.
I am aware that only the number 9 can be present in a seed, but this is not immediately apparent to general users. Suggest changing seed font to Roboto Mono, or similar.

ReadMe does not describe what the app is meant to do

This project has not been implemented, i am interested in contributing but i have no idea what the requirements for this app are. Shouldn't the readme file explain the direction you want this project to take? Do you accept pull request from developers that are not part of your core team?
