This is Safari browser specific. The ENCODE modal is does not allow any rows to be selected, as if clicking has been disabled.

This report from igv-help. When trying to load a session file from Google Drive an error is displayed: "Session file did not load - invalid format".

I think we're probably looking at the file extension and as its not "xml" or "json" its rejected. Looking at file extensions won't work for google drive, of course, unless we use the API to get the filename.

I'm not sure we need to do any validation here, we should try just sending the url to igv.js and catch and display any errors returned from igv.js
