If it uses wlroots, It should.
I believe I tried it before a while ago and it worked then.
There's no harm in trying yourself though.

I just ran wayfire to see if it works anyways, and it worked just fine.
Keep in mind I ran wayfire completely default with no changes to wayfire.ini
If you are running ANY wallpaper service in the background you will not see mpvpaper, so make sure that you don't.
