shader fx uniform parameters assigned default values not rendered nor transferred to o3d by createuniformparameters

What steps will reproduce the problem?

Plug-in installer does not work for Flock, at least not without restarting Flock

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Install plugin using the Flock browser
2. Attempt to view sample scene.
3.

What is the expected output? I expect to see the 3D scence.

What do you see instead? A message that says I need to install the plug-in.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Windows XP.

What hardware are you using: graphics card type? motherboard type?

Please provide any additional information below.

I haven't restarted the browser, so the plug-in may work after a restart,
but the instructions only mention needing to restart for the Safari
browser, not the Flock browser.

doesn't work...

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Pressing keys using virtual keyboard
2.
3.

What is the expected output? movement, etc... What do you see instead?
nothing

What version of the product are you using? not sure. I just downloaded it
tonight. On what operating system? Vista 32-bit

What hardware are you using: graphics card type? geforce 7600
motherboard type? asus

Please provide any additional information below.

I'm a quadriplegic and use a virtual keyboard and mouse for input. When I
click the arrow keys in the demos, nothing happens. In the beach demo, the
standard keys work fine. For example, the h key brings up the help menu.
In 3D ping pong, none of the keys work. I've tried a 3rd party virtual
keyboard and the one built into Vista with the exact same results.

For the heck of it, I just tried using Say2Play, a voice command software
designed for games. It worked just fine. So, whatever code they use to
simulate keyboard input works, but the code used in the virtual keyboards
doesn't. Interesting.

Thanks,

reighnie

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Modify any sample that loads a texture to load an indexed .png file
instead.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

It fails to load the image; there's a libpng error about an unrecognized

I've attached the file that failed to load as indexed.png; the same file
converted to RGB [also attached] loads fine.

Eclipse Support

Hi,
I am thinking it would be a nice feature to put an "O3D Webapp" template in
eclipse, or maybe post a few working binaries? People seem to be having
lots of build issues with O3D. DevC++ has an OpenGL template feature which
saves lots of time developing GL apps. I know its newbish but we cant all
be programmers, some of us are just coders (with great ideas). Also, please
develop a VB6 -esque GUI + compiler for Java Webapps. I am happy to help on
such a project.

O3D makes Vmware run extremely slow.

What steps will reproduce the problem?

1. Run VMWARE
2. Open any O3D app, like for example generate-textures.html
3. Notice VMWARE is running at about 5% it's normal speed even with O3D app
in the background.

Is there anyway to avoid this. I'm sure VMWARE is just showing the symptoms
of a larger issue that will affect other apps as well. If it's not an easy
fix? Maybe if O3D is not the front app we can do something?

Google Ads interfere with event processing in O3D

[This was reported by [email protected], but he only speaks Spanish, so I

interaction with it (clicking on it) causes the model to disappear.

Missing normals error message on converted collada files

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Create simple scene in Sketchup
2. export to Collada .dae
3. use o3dConverter.exe to convert .dae to .o3dtgz
4. load .o3dtgz into o3d div on a webpage

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
expect to load the scene into o3d without error; however, error is always
received, "ERROR: Required Stream NORMAL:0 missing on Primitive
'mesh2-geometry|material_1_0' using Material 'material_1_0' with Effect
'lambert_emissiveColor_ambientColor_diffuseColor'"; after clicking through
the error, the scene displays just great, but that error always pops up

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
o3d v0.1.35.2 on Windows XP

What hardware are you using: graphics card type? motherboard type?

Please provide any additional information below.
Outstanding product! However, I cannot get rid of the missing normals error
despite anything I try. I've tried a simple cube, colored with textures,
colors or named colors (even tried coloring the inside of the cube, in case
that was the trouble); tried simplifying the cube to just a square then,
but still got error; tried grouping, making it a component; still unable to
resolve or suppress the missing normals error.
Thanks!

Firefox crashes in scene viewer sample

In the Scene viewer sample,

if you enter "http://www.google.com/images/logo_sm.gif" in the textbox and
press load, I get the message box

"Could not load: (filename*)
Could not download archive. It could be a permission-related issue."

followed by Firefox crashing on me.

-

Note that I get the same issue even when trying this on a valid zip file
containing a COLLADA model from 3d warehouse. (ie. msgbox + crash)

Using FF 3.0.10 on Vista Ultimate SP1.

*: whatever filename you put in the textbox

Firefox browswer not being reported properly

When reviewing the logs, we have a high number of unknown Firefox versions
and very few Firefox 2 and 3. There's a strong chance that we're grabbing
the version number incorrectly for Firefox.
