It works on my linux 64 with the help of nspluginwrapper: see

Could you build the plugin with ./scons MODE=opt-linux without linker errors?

edit: nevermind, just synced and getting different errors. I will investigate 
it further later.

There has been some experimental work with nspluginwrapper (see wiki link 
above), but 
the real deal will come once V8 supports 64 bits, which is work in progress.

I have try to build it on 64 bit Ubuntu, I have a problem with
/usr/include/gnu/stubs-32.h solved by replaced stubs-32.h by stubs.h in the 
files but
still have the compilation error :
/usr/bin/ld: skipping incompatible
/usr/lib/gcc/x86_64-linux-gnu/4.3.3/../../../libpthread.so when searching for 
-lpthread
/usr/bin/ld: skipping incompatible
/usr/lib/gcc/x86_64-linux-gnu/4.3.3/../../../libpthread.a when searching for 
-lpthread
/usr/bin/ld: skipping incompatible /usr/lib/libpthread.so when searching for 
-lpthread
/usr/bin/ld: skipping incompatible /usr/lib/libpthread.a when searching for 
-lpthread
/usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lpthread
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
scons: *** [shell] Error 1
scons: building terminated because of errors.

Hope we will have a 64 bit support soon.

You should be able to build a 32-bit plugin on a 64-bit Ubuntu. See some info 
on 
http://code.google.com/p/o3d/wiki/HowToBuild in particular try installing the 
ia32-
libs and ia32-libs=dev packages, which should help you with these particular 
problems.
