Flat Remix is a GNOME Shell theme inspired by material design. It is mostly flat using a colorful palette with some shadows, highlights, and gradients for some depth.

flat-remix-gnome's Issues

doesn't seem to work with font scaling

I've got my fonts set to 1.3x size in gnome-tweak-tool because I've got a 4k display, and this works in most gtk themes, but the font used in this shell theme don't appear to be respecting this setting, they're still tiny.

Panel font is too small on HiDPI screen

The panel font is reasonable on old laptop screens, but is too small on a newer HiDPI laptop. I am running Ubuntu Gnome 17.04, Gnome shell 3.24 with gtk 3.22.11. Please see the screenshot.

Question: Recreate look of last screenshot

This is not an issue, more a question:
I really like the look on the last screenshot with the bigger bar in the bottom.
How can I recreate that look?
(I'm running Ubuntu 17.10)

Also, on the other screenshots in the bottom: Is this the Plank or Ubuntu dock?

Thanks in advance :)

Sound and brightness sliders in pop-up are invisible

When tuning the sound volume or the screen brightness using hotkeys, the slider in the pop-up is invisible.
The sliders below the icons should show the status of the tuned parameter, but it is completely gray as shown on the screenshots below.

Wallpaper

Would U mind telling me where I can find these wallpapers, mate?

Gnome crashes after leaving full screen

With this theme turned on, leaving full screen in browser or in game causing Gnome 3 to crash and restart.
Sometimes Gnome even do not restart correctly, and it drops me out of session to gdm.
With other themes turned on i do not have this issue.

Version of Gnome - 3.26.2
Video card - core i5 integrated
Distro - Manjaro

I'm wondering why it is happening.

Alignment with screen border

Hello,
I use flat remix on my gnome 3.24 but after a system reinstallation the theme does not go to the edge of the screen anymore. I feel he has shrunk ...
I have a 27 "1440p screen with nvidia drivers.

An idea how to solve the problem? The arc gnome shell themes work properly.

Thank you

little bug when clicking on app icon in dock

Ok it is just a slight imperfection that will probably bother noone but perfection lovers :) See the video joined : when clicking on an app icon in dock, the dock moves a bit... I think that is because the box in which the icon is set loses its rounded angles when clicking.
Awesome theme otherwise, i really love it :)

missing inode-directory.svg file

The directory icon will fall back to hicolor without places/scalable/inode-directory.svg in thunar.
It seems ok when i create a symbolic link to inode-dirctory.svg with the folder.svg.

gnome shell 3.14 has some issue.

.popup-menu css has no text colored...
only can see system icon tray popup.
and cant see calender, openweather(extension),systemmonitor(extension).
plz add ".popup-menu * { color:#??????;}"or any trick.

Compact version with Gnome 3.30

But make it a compact version with Gnome 3.30 for small monitors

With reduced-size calendar and user menus and optimized menus!!!

Nice as theme but too big menu!!!

Top menu bar margin

Si I installed the theme, but there is now space between top of screen and menu bar. Is that suppose to be?

Support for Window List Extension

I am using the "Window List" extension that can be enabled in the GNOME Tweaks program.
Unfortunately, the style of that window list does not match the style of the Flat Remix theme:

Is it possible to modify the styles also for that window list at the bottom?

[Question] Dock

Do you know how you personalized the dock. I need some like this.

Great work!

Top bar clock is not ticking

The clock placed on the Gnome's top bar is not ticking every second as it is with standard Gnome theme.
Instead it jumps every 2-3 seconds.

Im trying to costumize scrollbars

Hello, Im trying to costumize scrollabr for my terminal.

White does not seem cool for me.

Im trying to edit /usr/share/themes/Flat-Remix-GTK-Darker/gtk-3.0/gtk-dark.css

I found scrollbar and scrollbar slider but im unable to get the result - the black scrollbar

Frequent icon resizing in the top panel

Hi,

Thanks for the nice theme, I really like your impression of the top panel in Gnome shell. However, one irritating thing that I have been observing is the frequent resizing of the icons in the top panel. Is this by design?

Gradient in top panel

Hi,

after installing your Flat Remix Gnome Shell theme and applying it, the top panel has a color gradient which is quite awful and I do not see it in any of your screenshots.
What's going on here? How can I fix/change this?

Best regards,
Ray

top bar text (system tray, calendar, all that stuff) very light

System tray icons (in the dropdown menu, no problem with top bar icons) also very light.

I think it's lighter than it's supposed to be. I remember using this theme in the past and having it be better. Was there a change recently that made this stuff lighter? It wasn't a good move if so imo.

All other text is fine, it's just the stuff from drop down menus from the top bar, including from extensions like openweather.

I have Gnome shell 3.16.1

gnome tweak tool can't recognize theme in fedora 28

Today I just installed in my fedora 28 gnome version 3.28 but gnome tweak tool is unable to recognize it.
Any way to get it back ?
btw I had used these comands:-

sudo dnf copr enable daniruiz/flat-remix
sudo dnf install flat-remix-gnome

Ubuntu 17.10 shell theme has almost no effect

Hi,
Just installed the Shell-Theme. In Gnome Tweak Tool, i can select it for the shell. The problem is, i can't select anything for the "Applications" theme. Therefore almost everything stays the same :/

EDIT; The Panel for Shutting down for example is styled correctly.

Dark theme version

Is it possible to have your theme in a dark version?
If you need a hand in making it just tell me!

I can't find the theme

Hi! I can't apply the theme for some reasons because I can't find it in Gnome Tweak Box.

I tried to see if I'm using GNOME or not with:

gnome-shell --version

And I got as output:

GNOME Shell 3.26.2

So I think I have GNOME version

I'm on Ubuntu 17.10

Is it possible to make the top bar larger?

Hi dani,

Just tried out your theme and it looks gorgeous! However, due to my poor eyesight I find the top bar fonts to be a little bit too small, and they wont become larger even if I modify the system fonts or change the font size on the css file of your theme. Could you please point me to how can I modify the css to make text bigger?

Thanks a lot, and congratulations on your lovely theme again!
