Most of the repos I have here are weird libraries I felt brifely compelled to build. Some interesting ones:

Code Documentation

Everyone needs to start documenting their code better. Functions need to state what they're doing and what they return, and blocks need explanation comments. For example, the entire JsonObject class (.h and .cpp) has a single comment, and it doesn't even explain anything.

UI scale breaks program as a decimal number

Our default scale is 1.0 which works fine because it can be read as an integer. When the number is a decimal the whole program grinds to a halt.

I've tried tackling this problem before by changing scale to a float, but I was met with no success. The obvious solutions are:

  • Don't let the user change the UI scale from 1.0
  • Make the scale a float

DirectX squishes everything in windowed mode

The y-axis is squishing in such a way that (0,0) is correct, but the lower you move on the page more exaggerated the interpreted mouse position becomes. The texture itself looks like it is compressing itself a bit (look at Mouse X and Mouse Y, X is squished and Y is not).

This issue exists throughout the entire program, I just used the menu to make a point.
