Upgrade clamav-release to new LTS 1.X

ClamAV has moved their new LTS release to 1.X series. This release is currently on 0.103.X which ends LTS in Sept 24 but that only supports the 0.103.8 or higher versions

Acceptance Criteria

  • Get latest release from clamav.net
  • Verify 1.X LTS releases work in our release
  • Make adjustments to this release as needed to support the new release

Test, Verify, and Update clamav release for Bionic

As part of moving stemcells off xenial to bionic, we need to verify each of our releases to work with bionic and make any changes necessary for compliance and functionality.

Security considerations

Yet to be determined until review is completed

Implementation sketch

  • Verify works as is on bionic
  • Make any changes if needed to make it compile/work on bionic
  • Review nessus scans of test deployments to see if additional hardening in scope for this release can be made to bionic

Update ClamAV Release

This release needs to be updated to allow for:

  • New binary of 0.105.0
  • A 2nd config job to allow the main job/options to be set via add-ons block in runtime config and additional config in deployment manifest for per deployment adjustments
  • Add additional options block to freshclam config to allow freshclam private mirror
