Add CMake Support

Hi,

I was wondering if you're open to the idea to re-structuring the code base to be compatible with CMake. The advantage of CMake is that it is cross platform and it will make it really easy to generate a project for a variety of platforms/IDEs (Visual Studio, Code Blocks and so on).

The changes would involve:

  • Remove spaces from folders (spaces in file paths generally don't play well on Windows).
  • Create Cmake configuration for each folder (each sub folder of the repository will be built as its own executable).

If so I can make a pull request.

Thanks

Add a README

You should add a README so people who see your repository have an idea of what it is about. It's a standard for any github repository.

Improve fractal image - black area

The last video suggest room for improvement regarding the black area, and I suggest modify the drawFractal() method:

  • Put red, green, blue calculations outside of if (iterations != Mandelbrot::MAX_ITERATIONS) blob
  • Declare a hue variable outside of that if statement, and set hue equal to (double) totalPixels / rangeTotal within the if statement
  • By initializing the hue value (e.g., =1.0), black area, which corresponds to MAX_ITERATIONS, will be other colors
