Usage

  1. Chose your flavour from the list above
  2. Open the link with your Telegram client of choice
  3. Apply the theme
  4. Enjoy!

🐱 Development (for the desktop version)

  • The desktop version uses Go to build files for all flavours. To build a flavour, run go run main.go --color <flavour-name>. This creates a desktop theme file inside src/<flavour-name>/<flavour-name>_desktop. Use --accent flag to change accent color: --accent ctpRed; ctpGreen - default.
  • You are supposed to change the colours inside the build/template.go.tpl file.
  • Rebuild flavours after editing the template file.

[Desktop] Introduction of Subtext colours for certain elements

Originally posted by @isabelincorp in #29 (comment)

I […] just one suggestion I have is using subtext colors rather than all text for when you're on the main menu page with all the messages. Changing it over to subtext would make more sense.

What I mean is making the message preview not the same color as the channel name.

Theme not applied correctly on MacOs

Hello,
I'm try to apply Frappe theme on Telegram Desktop on MacOS but theme not seems to be correct :
image
I tried with Macchiato, it's the same theme and Latte is the same but in light.
I reinstalled Telegram from official Telegram site, but Catppuccin theme is still not correct :'(

Thanks for helping

Update to Catppuccin 0.2.0

I use Frappe on the rest of my system, so I'd love a variant of this theme to match.

Don't have a ton of time to work on it, but I will get started, if no one else is already working on this. Opening this issue to track progress.

Inconsistent date pill color in Android

First of all, thank you for maintainers for all of your works!

I noticed that the date flyout (not sure its the correct name) color in Android could be improved. Currently it is hard to see if you have dark background.

Below is image using Mocha. The "November 30" and "December 1" are barely seen.

Compared to Desktop version which has light container and dark text.

Maybe it could be improved by using light text/dark container or dark text/light container.

Colors are not accurate in Telegram

I'm using Catppuccin in many applications, but in Telegram Desktop on MacOS (installed viac App Store) the colors are not accurate. See the screenshot, this should be Catppuccin Mocha, the background should be much darker, not greyed out like this. Any ideas what could be the issue?

Missing msgServiceBg

No colors set for msgServiceBg and msgServiceSelected.
Not sure about hover color (could not find it) maybe it's ok, maybe too light.

Mobile android inconsistency

I like the theme for mobile android, but the background is the standard light green instead of a sort of black for mocha for example.

Android Mocha issue

•The Android mocha theme's floating date bg and joined bg is not clearly visible
In desktop version in think the bg color starts from something #cdd6f4
IMG_20230718_225713

And also if someone sents a media the time stamp for media is not clearly visible

Poor contrast between new messages in muted vs not muted chats

The color of the badge showing unread messages for unmuted chats is close to the color of the messages in muted chats.

This makes it hard to spot which chats have relevant messages to read.

Compare Ctp:

With default dark theme:

Would be great to have something that pops out a little more!
Thanks
