Commandline options like Putty

Would be great to have commandline options like Putty have.
I've already hacked that in (see Patch in attach).

Use:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
SuperPutty.exe [options] host
------------
Options:
-ssh|-serial|-telnet|-scp|-raw|-rlogin   -Choose Protocol (default: ssh)
-P                                       -Port            (default: 22)
-l                                       -Login Name
-pw                                      -Login Password
-load -Session to load (default: Default
Session)

Open back previously opened session after crash or close of SuperPutty

Please describe in as much detail as possible the feature you would like to see
added

Hi,

Using SuperPutty v1.0.3.0 under Windows 7 Pro SP1.

A great functionnality would be to have the same function as in Firefox/Chrome
to open back all tabs that were opened before crash/closing of the prog :) even
if it will ask for a lot of passwords at once, otherwise a new functionnality
should be added to reconnect like it is the case with Putty by right clicking
on the concerned tab.

Thanks by advance. At your disposal for any more informations needed.

Connect to host menu bar

It would be nice to be able to open new putty windows without creating a
session. Like what PuTTYCM has. You can even add a new folder to the
SessionTreeview called Recent Sessions which captures the last x number of
PuTTY sessions.

It's very usefull for this program to have a auto-login capability. In my line
of work I have multiple access to different equipments and with different
login/password.

Support for KiTTY and KiTTy portable and global commands

Hi,

Can you add support for KiTTY and KiTTY portable (forks from Putty)
http://www.9bis.net/kitty/?zone=en ?

New feature suggestion : add support for sending the same commands to multiple
opened sessions.
Example :
I have opened 10 sessions and instead to send the same command one by one I
would like to habe the possibility to select some sessions and send the same
command to all the sessions selected.

Best regards,
Gerard

P.S. : sorry for my english I'am french.

Importing connection list from PuTTY Connection Manager to Superputty

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Have some sessions configured in putty and stored in the Windows registry
2. Start Superputty
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I expected Superputty to load sessions stored in the registry and show all of
them. What I see is empty Superputty with no single session.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Windows XP, PuTTY 0.60, SuperPutty-Pre3.zip

Please provide any additional information below.

I've been using PuTTY Connection Manager http://puttycm.free.fr/cms/ and has
setup many sessions there. It can export sessions in XML format but does not
provide schema description to use something like xsltproc to convert exported
file into Superputty format. I've made a perl script that does that. Feed PuTTY
Connection Manager exported XML on stdin, get Superputty importable XML on
stdout.

Save layout

Would it be possible to memorize last layout (putty instance and its dock
state, position, etc) to be restored at next startup?

We are opening multiple sessions (10+) on large monitors for monitoring, and in
case of a shutdown, we have to re-open and readjust all the docking/etc.

Remove DockPanel Source (We use an unmodified version, so better to include and reference the dll)

Initially The DockPanel source (the suite we use for the docking
functionality of the UI) was comitted. Since we use an unmodified version
of the source It needs to be removed and a reference to the compiled dll in
its place.

For anyone wanting the full source for the docking it can be downloaded
from http://sourceforge.net/projects/dockpanelsuite/

scp does not use key

0. Load session data of a putty session using an SSH key
1. Double-click on the session in the right-hand side column: ssh connection
works OK.
2. This time, right-click on the session in the right-hand side column.
3. Click on File Transfer
4. Popup asks for user/password

At step4, instead of asking for credentials, the pscp.exe program should use
the same key as used by the putty.exe program

Hot-key to switch between tabs (similar to ALT-TAB for switching between applications)

I love the dockable tabs to consolidate the multitude of terminal sessions
that I can be working in over the day but find myself trying to quickly
switch back to the last session only to find some other application in my
face. If I had an alternative, I'm sure I could break the bad habit of
using Alt-Tab to go to another window.

Firefox uses Ctrl-Tab to go forward a tab and Ctrl-Shift-Tab to cycle
backwards - something similar would be grand.

Integration with WinPuTTY

A lot of problems could possibly be solved by using the WinPuTTY DLL

Single sign-on

I often have to connect to the same host through multiple windows so as to be
able to cd/vi different dirs/files. Like Putty Connection Manager, SuperPutty
doesn't support SecureCRT's feature "Clone", which makes it possible to open a
new session to the same host without having to log on again.

Support for puttycyg

There is a modified version of putty that supports running a local cygwin
session using the putty terminal. Currently this doesn't quite work in
superPutty, but it would be very nice if I could get putty and local terminals
all in the same tabbed window.

Cygputty is at:  http://code.google.com/p/puttycyg/

I think it is close to working. I can point SuperPutty at cygputty and set up
a local putty configuration, but then when I try to figure the new connection
in SuperPutty it doesn't quite work.

What steps will reproduce the problem?

2. Execute SuperPutty.exe
3. Accept the default settings in the config screen.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
- The program gives an error related to "LoadLayout"
- After that you see basically an empty window with a menu
- In the initial config screen, you can choose a default layout, but the drop
down list is empty.
- My guess is that the installer should have provided some default layouts?

Sometimes the putty window isn't attached

I do not know what caused the problem, but in my PC the PUTTY window is not
attached into the SuperPutty.

I found the problem, with a few lines of code it was corrected.

In SuperPutty::ApplicationPanel::OnVisibleChanged, the WaitForInputIdle()
wasn't making the thread to sleep, so the m_AppWin was with 0. I solved
with a WOP, but it works. The patch follows:

1152,1153c1152,1157
<                     m_Process.WaitForInputIdle();
<                     m_AppWin = m_Process.MainWindowHandle;

---
>                     m_AppWin = m_Process.MainWindowHandle;
>                     while (IntPtr.Zero == m_AppWin)
>                     {
>                         System.Threading.Thread.Sleep(100);
>                         m_AppWin = m_Process.MainWindowHandle;

When Application is in background, clicking on terminal session should bring application to front, not just focus app.

Since We wrap PuTTY in a Windows form we are unable to detect the click
event on the terminal window itself, however clicking anywhere else will
bring the application to the foreground as you would expect.

To do this properly it will require an unmanaged DLL written in c++ (or c)
that we can capture the global mouse events for the embedded window with. A
P/Invoke call that captures the windows events and marshals the data back
and forth between the application.

Not difficult, but also not trivial, its on the Wish List and I'll likely
work on this after I get some cleanup done and some general project
housekeeping.

Use inactive tab title color for notifications

Similar to the Mac OS X iTerm app : inactive tab changes color to blue when
there was some output in that ssh session after user seen it last time. And to
red if there was a job running in the inactive tab and it finished (returned to
the command prompt).

The user can always see which tab finished the last command or if there was any
updates in the tab. Here is an example
