I agree. I also would like to request an auto-login feature, I tend to login to
around 50 servers per day, and I hate myself for actually remembering the
passwords for most of them..

I realize this is a pretty old thread now, but for people who come across this
via google or such, might I recommend SSH keypairs + pageant + superputty? look
on the official PuTTY website for pageant; it has made my life much easier (and
arguably more secure).

I have some servers using keys and some using password...
I have tried superputty + kitty, but auth seems not to work when using keys
(password seems not to be sent).
I have tried superputty + pageant, but auth is only when you have key and I
would like to avoid having a lot of tools running for this simple thing...
PuttyCM, mRemote, mRemoteNG... all allows autologin, but have bugs. I would
like to move to superputty and the only feature I need is autologin...
Some One person more for this request. :)

I can give password automatically by puting "-pw PASSWORD" in command line
options... but the password is directly readable... and I find it annoying.

I work with AIX systems and I needed a way to map keys, so I switched to kitty
8still searching how to map function keys) but meanwhile I found that PuttyCM
was (almost?) died and switched to SuperPutty.
I think it is a great step forward, really like icons idea even if I think they
should be more "representative" (i.e. lan switches, san switches, OS icons,
etc), but I really miss a "Login Macro" section with password obfuscated field
(yes, like PuttyCM does).
Any plan for this?

Login script feature a must have when you can't install ssh-keys and you login
to servers via some intermediate server with strict password-only
authentication.

Maybe just an additional password field at the session edit dialog that would
send it to putty through the "-pw" parameter.
The passwords could be stored encrypted with an user provided password which
would be requested every time the application is opened.

I would like a combination of auto-login using a stored password (encrypted, of
course) for each system and also the option of adding a simple script to go
from the > shell in a Cisco router/switch/firewall to the # (enable) shell.

I would like auto-login too and in adddition multiple auto-login

to this way?

RIP, our buggy puttyCM ;-(
As many of the other articles I would very appreciate auto-login & encrypted
stored password (would be very cool: externel database to share the logins with
other colleagues). So far much thanks for the good programmers job!

I started to use keepass recently and I am quiet overwhelmed by its usefulness.
I would love to have the following feature for Superputty:
The possibility to create a Login-Button for Auto-Login in combination with
keepass.
i.e: I would have a several Buttons, "Life-Net"-Button and another
"LAB-Net"-Button, pointing to different entries in my keepass database.
Anytime the Console shows me "Username", I click the appropriate "Login-Button"
and there we go.
BTW. Great job creating superputty
