Since around several months ago, Anki on desktop started showing the following exception, failing to load the plugin. Reinstalling the plugin didn't help

When loading '⁨Change the type of a note without upload⁩':

I don't have enough expertise to say if it's related to Anki's verion or Python. Please find below some more details about the setup:
Anki Version: ⁨2.1.51 (11b89b2f)⁩
Python/Qt: Python 3.10.4 Qt 5.15.2 PyQt 5.15.6
OS: Arch Linux (latest updates)

Is it by any chance something that is easy to fix? The plugin is really useful and it would be cool to have it working again

needs an __init__.py file containing from . import change
and a different qt version
from PyQt5.QtCore import *
from PyQt5.QtGui import *
in order to load the plugin, but it doesn't take effect with only those changes.
Backward compatibility can be done with conditional imports, as here:
