Hi,
It seems that no real code change have been done here since spring 2017, and new comments on CellularPrivacy/Android-IMSI-Catcher-Detector#926 are also without reply since winter 2017.

Is this fork officially discontinued ?
(ping @E3V3A maybe ?)

The "AIMSICD" was included in the F-Droid store:

Would you agree with the inclusion of AIMSICDL, too?

i am not familiar much fdroid inclusion.
however fdroid team is helpful if the developer wishes to include in their repo.

Question: Is there no way to compile the source code with the current version of AndroidStudio? The problem is, when i click on "File" -> "Project Structure"... and then select a "JDK Location" for JDK7 (in my case the JDK from "Zulu", https://www.azul.com/downloads/zulu/), then i get an error: "Please choose JDK or newer"

The Android Studio i use is up-to-date with most current updates on today, 09. August 2018.

AND i absolutely not understand what you mean with that:

"JAVA 8 is not yet supported. Use a supported JavaVersion (class -> dex conversion can't handle 1.8 right now). VERSION is unrelated to your JDK. The JDK has to be >= VERSION."

What "VERSION", of what?!?! The JDK has to be grater or equals VERSION...

The required JDK version? I don't think really, that does not fit with your first sentence: "JAVA 8 is not yet supported. "

Previous version used a lot of battery.

I know there was a rationale issue on the AIMSICD repo, but I was hoping we can define here what needs to be done. Perhaps in a more granular fashion.

@E3V3A could you provide a laundry list of things to tackle in the codebase?

When I was looking into the code Android-IMSI-Catcher-Detector/AIMSICD/src/main/java/com/secupwn/aimsicd/ui/fragments/AtCommandFragment.java, In a comment there is written that we need to have supported hardware that already has an AT serial device
for Qualcomm: /dev/smd[0,7] but in Nexus 5 and Samsung Galaxy S3 I haven't been able to find /dev/smd[0-7]. I am confused about it. I have basically two questions.

1. Does anyone have any idea on what interface Nexus 5/Galaxy S3 uses to communicate with the modem?
2. Does the RILd interface / Modem driver use the AT interface or something else to communicate for the newer android phones?
