Documentation

Bootstrap's documentation, included in this repo in the root directory, is built with Jekyll and publicly hosted on GitHub Pages at http://getbootstrap.com. The docs may also be run locally.

Running documentation locally

  1. If necessary, install Jekyll (requires v3.0.x). Note for Windows users: Read this unofficial guide to get Jekyll up and running without problems.
  2. Install the Ruby-based syntax highlighter, Rouge, with gem install rouge.
  3. From the root /bootstrap directory, run jekyll serve in the command line.
  4. Open http://localhost:9001 in your browser, and voilà.

Learn more about using Jekyll by reading its documentation.

Documentation for previous releases

Documentation for v2.3.2 has been made available for the time being at http://getbootstrap.com/2.3.2/ while folks transition to Bootstrap 3.

Previous releases and their documentation are also available for download.

Contributing

Please read through our contributing guidelines. Included are directions for opening issues, coding standards, and notes on development.

Moreover, if your pull request contains JavaScript patches or features, you must include relevant unit tests. All HTML and CSS should conform to the Code Guide, maintained by Mark Otto.

Editor preferences are available in the editor config for easy use in common text editors. Read more and download plugins at http://editorconfig.org.

Versioning

For transparency into our release cycle and in striving to maintain backward compatibility, Bootstrap is maintained under the Semantic Versioning guidelines. Sometimes we screw up, but we'll adhere to those rules whenever possible.

See the Releases section of our GitHub project for changelogs for each release version of Bootstrap. Release announcement posts on the official Bootstrap blog contain summaries of the most noteworthy changes made in each release.

White screen under Chrome for Mac and android

Under Chrome for android or Mac, the page loads, but the screen is white (blank).
No console errors. No network errors.
The file that causes this bug is bootstrap-arabic.min.cs.
The English version under same circumstances does not have this problem.
Thanks,

bootstrap 3.3.4

Hi Dear
When bootstrap 3.3.4 RTL version released?

Thanks

Arabic Font Support on Mobile

Hey, thanks for the Arabic version of Bootstrap, when you view any site built with this version of arabic bootstrap the Arabic font droid doesn't work.

Is there any solution for this?

btn-group with btn-group-justified class have problem

When I Apply btn-group with btn-group-justified to group of buttons ,buttons corners radius are in wrong side Unless I apply Left to Right Direction Style for the div which buttons are placed in .
Does it work like this or its bug ?

body with direction : rtl

sorry for the two issues, i just want to ask about giving the body direction : rtl
because when i did this before any jquery plugin i embed in my document like : gallery slider or simple bootstrap slider were destroyed
how can i fix this ?

i tried before this line i've created :
:not(body),:not(div),*:not(html){ direction: rtl }
it works

Do grids display RTL?

Trying to build from less, seems that grids arent reversed. Is this intentional?

EDIT: Same for navbars. Should they all be reversed?

Update to Bootstrap 3.0.2

Any chance you could update your work to the latest Bootstrap as of this writing (3.0.2)?

Also thanks for your excellent work 👍

inline radio

I have a radio wrapped in label, the issue is when you add space between two words, the second word goes below the first. I'm not sure why is doing that. please help.

Thanks

Publish to npm

I dont see this package on npm. It seems like there already is a package.json. Would you be able to publish this to npm?

Composer file malformed

The package name in composer.json is invalid. It should be VENDOR_NAME/PROJECT_NAME instead of PROJECT_NAME.

carousel.less .active.left float bug

Salam,

I found a bug in carousel.less:

> .active.left {
  left: -100%;
}

It doesn't match the official bootstrap's value in carousel.less which is:

> .active.left {
  .left(100%); // This should be -100% (negative) instead
}

I was going to issue a pull request, but I couldn't because of npm dependency issues.

Thanks,
