I have iPod touch 1G 3.1.2 Jailebroken and OSX 10.6.2, latest version of
iPhoneTunnel (downloaded here)
I connected my iPod to computer thru USB, launch iPhoneTunnel, turned dev
mode, pressed Turn Tunnel on and Terminal window appeared, and nothing happens:

Tunnel will only function when debug-mode is enabled in preferences.

What steps will reproduce the problem?
- Running the app like anytime before.

What is the expected output? 
 - To see the icon. :)
What do you see instead? 
- Nothing. Only in the console (but don't know if it is related):

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
- 1 year old MacBook Pro, OSX 10.6.6, iPhoneTunnel 2.3b1

Please provide any additional information below.
- It worked for a while, but now it stopped. It shows in the process list, but 
the icon does not appear any more, so I'm not able to really start it. I don't 
know about any system modification before it stopped working. Maybe 
USBOverdrive for mousehandling, but uninstalling it did not work, and I'm not 
sure it was related.

Devices are currently disabled.

As topic suggests, implement the use of iproxy from usbmuxd project instead of 
python library to 
piggy-back on iTunes-usbmuxd.

I don't know if anyone is interested, but I had to make the following changes:

File "tcprelay.py", line 104:
    parser.add_option("-s", "--socket", dest='sockpath', action='store',
metavar='PATH', type='str', default=None, help="specify the path of the
usbmuxd socket")

Here the type 'str' has to be changed to 'string'.


I had also to include a recent plistlib.py. I attached one. (The method
writePlistToString is not implemented in the Python version shipped with Tiger)

iTunes won't find iPhone in DFU mode if the tunnel is on.

Workaround: close application/turn off tunneling
