Installation

docker build -t webanno3 https://github.com/fkuhn/webanno3-docker.git

or

docker build --no-cache=true -t webanno3 https://github.com/fkuhn/webanno3-docker.git

Usage

The service starts with, for example:

docker run -i -t -p 18080:18080 webanno3

You can then access the webanno frontend via localhost:18080/webanno

webanno3-docker's Issues

webservice renders empty browser window

After starting the webanno3 webservice, the service should be found on localhost:18080 -- However, an empty window is displayed.

MySQL connection error when building image

running mysql/Dockerfile yields the following error:

ERROR 2002 (HY000): Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock' (111)

ERROR: Service 'mysql' failed to build: The command '/bin/sh -c mysql -u root < /tmp/create_webanno_db.sql' returned a non-zero code: 1

Upgrade to webanno3.2 ?

The Dockerfile is based on Webanno3.0beta5
Currently the latest version is 3.2
https://github.com/webanno/webanno/releases/download/webanno-3.2.0/webanno-webapp-3.2.0.war
that is distributed as war

Is there any plan to upgrade this docker installation to WebAnno3.2 ?

webanno starts in standalone mode

due to mysql not starting correctly, webanno uses its embedded db and starts in standalone mode which is not recommended for production use.
