Instead of doing this sequentially (run the period checks, run the single shot actions, do the judge) we can turn this into an action graph and evaluate it.

The root will be the judge, the leaf will be acquisition(s) and the result(s) will be produced over a channel. Inner nodes can be statistics like median, percentile, ratio. Instead of using a context.Context to control the collection phase.. we would synchronize on that by channel.
