Auto install formatters registered with conform.nvim via Mason.

Install

Setup

It's crucial to setup plugins in the following order:

• mason.nvim
• conform.nvim
• mason-conform.nvim

Otherwise mason-conform.nvim will not have enough information about configured formatters and access the mason registry.

Configuration

    ignore_install = {'prettier'} -- List of formatters to ignore during install
})

Available formatters

Only formatters that are available in the mason registry can be downloaded automatically. If the formatter is available in the registry and it's not being downloaded, this plugin might be missing a conform => mason mapping in the file lua/mason-conform/mapping.lua.

License

mason-conform.nvim is a blatant copy of mason-nvim-lint which in turn takes heavy insperation from mason-lspconfig.nvim

Ensure installed?

My Neovim configuration is declarative and I prefer to write the configuration once which automatically installs all the required packages.
Could you provide ensure_installed mechanism, like in mason-lspconfig.nvim or mason-null-ls.nvim?

Allow configuring which formatters are installed with mason

Sometimes it's preferable to install a formatter manually rather than through mason. For example, rustfmt prints an error message in mason:

deprecated: rustfmt should now be installed via rustup.

Check if the tool is already installed

Some tools will be present on the conform config but do not need to be installed by Mason. For example, I might have prettier installed system-wide. Or jq or xmllint.

It will be beneficial to try to detect, any given tool, whether it is already installed or not. This will avoid duplicates and desired behavior.
