NetEye 4 Community Portal

Welcome to the community repository for NetEye 4 users. This repository comes with the purpose to share the best-practices and enhancements created by our userbase. Started as initiative during the first projects, it provides now a platform to accelerate any implementation project by providing:

• how-to documentations for setup and configuration of a NetEye 4
• monitoring templates such as host- or service templates, commands and fields
• additional monitoring plugins (scripts in part linked to 3rd party repositories)
• sample configurations to automate the configuration of best-practice configurations

Getting started guide for NetEye 4

This repo guides you through the following steps of NetEye. Depending on the status of your NetEye 4 project it is suggested to go through both steps:

1. setup the OS of a fresh standalone NetEye 4
2. Initialize the NetEye 4 resources (Standalone)
3. Configure monitoring zoning architecture
4. integration and autosetup of templates, monitoring plugins and sample configurations

Provide powershell scripts for exchange 2016 monitoring

Provide PS scripts for MS Exchagne monitoring as defined in service templates.

ITOA dashboards importable via Grafana API

Provided grafana dashboards (json files) should be importable directly into Grafana via Grafana API.
This allows to automate the import and provided host templates and service templates with custom ITOA dashboards

Neteyeshare apache configuration not synchronized on cluster

The apache configuration defining the neteyshare's alias is not synchronized automatically among all cluster nodes.
This should apply to generated credentials file.

Verify and improve provided multi-parent apply rule

apply Dependency “Parent” for (parent in host.vars.parents) to Host {
parent_host_name = parent
assign where host.address && host.vars.parents
}

run_setup.sh produces a file "1"

There should be a bad handled return code or something creating this useless file.

Make neteyeshare cluster compatible

Install the contents of "neteyeshare" not under /neteye/shared/neteyesyare but under apache folder assigned to cluster service of apache: neteye/shared/httpd

• folder is mounted on drbd device
• relocated with httpd service and therefore all contents of neteyeshare are provided where apache is running

1. new path: /neteye/shared/httpd/neteyesyare
2. Align automated install scripts to create httpd config files pointing to this path.

Access via Self-Service API to NetEyeShare via HTTPS

The introduction of basic auth leads to the requirement of authenticating to neteyeshare via https. Find a way, hot wo access via automated agent installation procedure: the powershell script.

Provide install procedure for phpmyadmin

Provide install procedures to setup phpmyadmin from epel easily and automate some configuration tasks
