lab-agile-planning's Issues

Complete Deploy Service to the Cloud

As a Service Provider.
** need** the service to be deployed to the cloud.
So that I can scale capacity with user demand

Details and Assumptions

  • Artifacts for Cloud Foundry app have already been created in branch cf-deploy
  • Database still needs to be provisioned
  • App needs to be pushed and connected to the database

Acceptance Criteria

Given I have deploved to the cloud
When a customer comes to our URL
Then our service will be available

Creating pipeline for packaging and deploying the application

As a software developer
I need to create a CI pipeline
So that I can automate the build and test process

Details and Assumptions

  • Using Tekton pipeline
  • Automate the build, test, and packaging of the application.

Acceptance Criteria

Given a software developer
When the developer pushes the code to git
Then the updated code is built and tested automatically

Must persist counter across restarts

As a Service Provider
I need the service to persist the last known count
So that users don't lose track of their counts after the service is restarted.

Details and Assumptions

  • We will use a Redis database
  • Counter will be stored as name value pair

Acceptance Criteria

Given I have incremented the counter to 2
When I restart the service
Then the counter should still return 2

Need the ability to update a counter to a new value.

As a user
I need the ability to update a counter to a new value
So that I can reset the counter value when needed.

Details and Assumptions

  • the counter value can be set to any real number from 0 to 100000
  • the current counter is updated, no new counter created

Acceptance Criteria

Given a user enter the value 100 to the counter
When I create a count to ass 1
Then the counter value increases from 100 to 101

Deploying on IBM Cloud

As a Service Provider
I need to deploy the application to IBM cloud
So that I can provide stable service

Details and Assumptions

  • The application should be deployed on IBM Cloud
  • using IBM Cloud Code Engine.

Acceptance Criteria

Given an end user
When the user accesses the service
Then they can use the service as expected

Need the ability to remove a counter

As a User
I need to able to remove a counter by myself
So that I can remove a counter when it is no longer used.

Details and Assumptions

  • [document what you know]

Acceptance Criteria

Given [some context]
When [certain action is taken]
Then [the outcome of action is observed]

Containerizing the application

As a Service Provider,
** need** to containerize the application.
So that I deploy the application to the cloud

Details and Assumptions

  • To validate that each unit of code performs as expected, run unit tests.
  • If the unit tests pass, deploy the application to a docker container.

Acceptance Criteria

The container is deployable to IBM cloud.

Need a service that has a counter

As a User
I need I need a service that has a counter
So that can keep track of how many times something was done.

Details and Assumptions

  • Need a way to increment a counter
  • Need a way to get the current value

Acceptance Criteria

Given I have incremented the counter to 2
When I make a call to get the current value
Then it should return 2 as the counter value

Counters can be reset

As a System Administrator
I need the ability to reset the counter
So that I can redo counting from the start.

Details and Assumptions

  • A user may ask the system administrator to reset counter
  • The same counter is reset to zero, not creating a new counter

Acceptance Criteria

Given a running counter
When the user asks to reset the counter
Then count of the counter is set to zero

Deploy service to the cloud

As a System Provider
I need to deploy the counter service to the cloud
So that the use can connect the counter thru API

Details and Assumptions

  • deployed in IBM cloud
  • using K8s

Acceptance Criteria

Given I use the counter
When I call the counter API in the cloud
Then a correct counter appears

Must allow multiple counters

As a User
I need I need to have multiple counters
So that I can keep track of several counts at once.

Details and Assumptions

  • [document what you know]

Acceptance Criteria

Given [some context]
When [certain action is taken]
Then [the outcome of action is observed]
