intergenerational-family-code

This is a Next.js project bootstrapped with create-next-app.

Getting Started

First, run the development server:

npm run dev
# or
yarn dev
# or
pnpm dev
# or
bun dev

Open http://localhost:3000 with your browser to see the result.

You can start editing the page by modifying app/page.tsx. The page auto-updates as you edit the file.

This project uses next/font to automatically optimize and load Inter, a custom Google Font.

Persist Navigation Menu as Sidebar

The Nav menu is great, but it should persist for all other components as a collapsible sidebar or something similar (in case the user is too stupid to know how the back-button works).
Bonus: the Nav button that links to the current component should be a different colour than the other Nav buttons.

Family Garden | variable growth rate

Instead of hard-coding the growth rate to 0.05, allow the user to change the growth rate via the component UI.
There should be an input that should by default be set to 5%, but which the user may change to whatever value they desire.
The calculation remains the same (value) * (1 + growth) ^ (num_years)

Policy Tree | remove default values

The policy tree currently has a bunch of default values hard-coded in for the Stark family.
Remove these default values, so that the Policy Tree is empty by default.
