gxctfaa's Issues

[Feature]: Fill out the locker room jukebox

Right now we only have two CDs from the Yaki locker room converted into Playlists on spotify.

This issue can be closed when all CDs (that I have access to) have been turned into Spotify playlists and

  1. Have a photo of the CD as the playlist photo
  2. Have a description of the CD and its contents to the extent possible.

Feature: Make Playlist headers wrap

Background and motivation

Right now the playlist titles in archive/youtube-playlist.html do not wrap. This looks a bit sloppy.

Description of idea

We can make these headers wrap if we put them in a container or box!

Implementation details

I need to find a way to contain the header and the iframe in the same box.

Potential snags

none.

Page: Lockerroom Jukebox

I would like to make a page on the website that features a list of CDs in the lockerroom(s) and lists their contents.

This issue can be closed when a PR exists that adds a page with at least two playlists.

Spotiy integration is an option here as well.

Fix `ubuntu-prereq.sh`

ubuntu-prereq.sh is unfinished. The if-statements for checking ruby and jekyll in particular are not finished. This issue can be closed when these lines are working and the script works.

[Bug fix]: links on deployed site don't work

The links on the deployed site don't work. All the content is there, it's just that the links don't work (they fail to inlcude the /gxctfaa/ slug).

This PR can be closed when the deployed site has all the links working correctly.

Potential solutions:

  1. Move to a gxctfaa.github.io site
  2. Deploy from a pregenerated gh-pages branch
  3. Try to parse through the documentation for a solution

Feature: Auto-populate playlist titles using the youtube API

Background and motivation

Currently, we have to manually enter the playlist title if we want that info displayed above the embedded you tube player on the Jukebox page.

Description of idea

We can use the YouTube data API to automatically fetch this information based on the playlist ID (which we already have)

Implementation details

Useful resources:

I'll probably use PHP to to the HTTP queries so we don't have to use any more javascript than necessary.

Potential snags

I do not know how I am going to store the API key securely AND make it accessible to the Jekyll website. A hack way would be to store the aPI key as a repokey.
