Improper size for bootloaders of BeagleBone

With following dd command to backup the bootloaders of BeagleBone,

dd if=${DEVICE} of=${BOARD_DIR}/MLO count=1 seek=1 conv=notrunc bs=128k
dd if=${DEVICE} of=${BOARD_DIR}/uboot count=2 seek=1 conv=notrunc bs=384k

The size of output files are double of expected size (128k v.s. 256k)

# ls -alh /tmp/20160903/boards/beaglebone
total 904K
drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 4.0K Sep  3 17:55 .
drwxr-xr-x 3 root root 4.0K Sep  3 17:55 ..
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 256K Sep  3 17:55 MLO
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 1.2M Sep  3 17:55 uboot

Needs to figure out it is correct or not.
