It would be good if there was ability to sort folders first or if it was by default

I just gave the plugin a shot and since when you open a file it opens a new tab, it would make sense to refocused the tab where the files list are when pressing F1 again. Otherwise it keeps opening new files list tabs.
Or you could replace the content of the current tab with the file you chose to open.

it would be better if there was ability to basic operations with files like create, delete, rename, copy, move etc.

Open file browser even if there is no file open. if there it is a project than project's root folder if no project than user's folder.

it would be better if backspace behaviour was to go to previous (parent) folder and not remove letters from name of file or folder.

When switching to subfolder last folder or file is selected instead of first. I think it would be better if first element was active except cases of saved position.
