ngimu-maxmsp-example's Introduction

NGIMU-MaxMSP-Example

This is an example Max/MSP patch for sending and receiving OSC messages to and from an NGIMU over Wi-Fi. The patch is configured to modify the device UDP send IP address and message send rates, and to display received: Euler angle, sensors, battery and temperature and button messages.

The UDP send IP address must be modified match the computers IP address before data can be received. The IP address of a computer by clicking "Open Network Preferences..." under the Wi-Fi menu.

TimeTag issue Max MSP

Hi, I'm unable to extract the timetag from an incoming packet using MaxMSP (8.2, win10).

The regular udpreceive does not include the timestamp.

Using Max' "udpreceive x CNMAT" object, i'm able to receive the fullpacket (binary) stream; and using the OpenSoundControl objects from ODOT (in package manager, 'cnmat' -> list of tools for OSC) I should be able to retreive the NTP timetag. However, the resulting timetag is always '0 0' - even though in the GUI executable it is correct.

Minimal example:
